1 surfacing shall be mixed, placed, spread and shaped in accordance with the requirements of <br /> 2 Section 4-04 of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 5-06.3(6) Temporary Pavement Patching <br /> 5 The Contractor shall furnish, place and maintain temporary pavement patching as shown on <br /> 6 the Plans and at locations as directed by the Engineer, until such time as a permanent patch <br /> 7 of permanent paving can be made. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Provide a temporary patch as required to reopen roadway during construction as that <br /> 10 withstands existing traffic loads and volumes. Options include, and are not limited to, cold <br /> 11 mix asphalt (MC 250), hot mix asphalt (HMA CL 1/2", PG 64-22), or secured steel roadway <br /> 12 plates. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Provide temporary asphalt patching where roadway or walk is needed for vehicular or <br /> 15 pedestrian traffic, during the construction period, until permanent pavement and sidewalks <br /> 16 can be constructed. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 In the event that the temporary surface subsides after the initial placement, apply additional <br /> 19 MC 250 or HMA(as approved by the Engineer) as necessary to maintain the surface. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Stockpile of plant mix and crushed surfacing for temporary patching shall be provided on the <br /> 22 site by the Contractor. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Prior to final restoration of the pavement, the Contractor shall be responsible for removing <br /> 25 and disposing of temporary pavement patching materials. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 5-06.3(7) Incidental Pavement Patching <br /> 28 Incidental pavement patching shall be done only at the direction of the Engineer for patching <br /> 29 and restoring areas between the back of new sidewalks and adjacent asphalt driveways, <br /> 30 paving ramps at the ends of sidewalks, and gutters that are adjusted to grade. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Asphalt for incidental pavement patching shall be HMA CL 1/2", PG 64-22. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Division 7 ' <br /> 36 Drainage Structures, Storm Sewers, Sanitary <br /> 37 Sewers, Water Mains, and Conduits <br /> 38 I 39 7-04 STORM SEWERS <br /> 40 <br /> 41 7-04.2 Materials <br /> 42 Section 7-04.2 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> 43 <br /> 44 (a4tt4L) <br /> 45 Pipe <br /> 46 C-905 Storm Sewer Pipe 9-30.1(5)A <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Fittings <br /> 49 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pipe (4 inches and Over) <br /> WEST MARINE VIEW DRIVE UTILITIES PAGE 91 OF 117 August 2018 <br /> WORK ORDER#3588 <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />
