1 7-05.4 Drop Manhole Connections <br /> 2 Section 7-05.3(4) is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> I3 <br /> 4 (City of Everett GSP) <br /> 5 Drop connections shall be constructed where shown on plans in accordance with these <br /> I6 Special Provisions and Sections 7-04, 7-05, and 7-17 of the Standard Specifications and <br /> 7 Standard Plan Nos. 612 and 613. <br /> 8 <br /> I <br /> 9 Holes for drop connections shall be factory installed for new manholes or core drilled for <br /> 10 existing manholes. Impact tools shall not be allowed for making holes in manhole walls. <br /> 11 <br /> I12 Unless otherwise directed by the Engineer, drop connections shall be constructed inside <br /> 13 manholes 54" in diameter and larger. Only outside drop connections may be used on 48" in <br /> 14 diameter manholes. <br /> 15 <br /> I <br /> 16 Section 7-05.3 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 17 <br /> 18 (City of Everett GSP) <br /> I19 7-05.3(5) Furnish and Install Solid Lid for Catch Basins <br /> 20 New Section 7-05.3(5) <br /> 21 Where shown on the plans,the Contractor shall install new solid lids on existing catch basins. <br /> I22 The solid lids shall conform to Section 9-05.15 of the Standard Specifications and to Standard <br /> 23 Plan #406 &410 for Type A&B Catch Basins and Standard Plan 610 for Type 2 Catch Basins. <br /> 24 <br /> I25 7-05.3(6) Pressure Manhole <br /> 26 New section 7-05.3(6) <br /> 27 <br /> I28 (******) <br /> 29 The Pressure Manhole shall be furnished and installed as shown in the drawings. Care <br /> 30 should be taken to achieve the dimensions called for on the plans. The volume and <br /> I31 dimensions of the extended manhole base are a designed element and, as such, shall not <br /> 32 be changed without an approved Value Engineering Change Proposal according to section <br /> 33 1-04.4(2) of the standard specifications. <br /> 34 <br /> I35 Frame and Cover shall be a locked and Basketed type system rated for pressures up to 20 <br /> 36 PSI. Extended manhole base may be shop fabricated or cast-in-place depending on field <br /> 37 conditions. <br /> 111 38 <br /> 39 Pressure manhole shall include a standard catch basin base section with a sump to ensure <br /> 40 free operation, maintenance, and replacement of the flap gate. The manhole shall not be <br /> I41 channelized. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 The flap gate shall be heavy duty and designed to withstand seating heads up to a minimum <br /> I44 of 50 feet. The frame shall be cast iron and machine drilled per ANSI Class 125 816.1 flange <br /> 45 pattern. The cover shall be one piece cast iron with an integrally cast lifting eye for manual <br /> 46 operation. Cast iron shall conform to ASTM A-126, Class B. Gate shall have stops or other <br /> I47 devices to prevent the cover from becoming stuck in the open position. All hinge pins and <br /> 48 assembly hardware shall be furnished in stainless steel.
