I I1 2 DIVISION 1 I3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 4 5 DESCRIPTION OF WORK I6 7 (March 13, 1995 WSDOT GSP) 8 This Contract provides for the improvement of*** West Marine View Drive Utilities Construction I9 and associated street restoration and re-channelization disturbed during trenching and pipe 10 construction. The utility pipes, 36-inch Storm Drain (SD), 30" combined sewer (CS), 12" sanitary 11 sewer force main (SS FM) begin at the Grand Avenue Park Bridge (Phase 1) boundary north of I12 the Grand Avenue Utility and Pedestrian Bridge and extend north. The 36" SD includes 13 maintenance cleanouts and reduces to a 20" pipe at connection to the existing outfall. This outfall 14 connection requires upgrades to the existing storm system including the installation of a backflow 15 prevention flap gate within a pressurized manhole. The 30" CS with maintenance access clean I16 outs extends north past the SD outfall until reaching and connecting to the previously constructed 17 outfall pipe at 14th Street. The 30" CS pipe is equipped with manual-operated valve and 6" outfall 18 pipe draining to an existing sanitary sewer manhole in West Marine View Drive (WMVD). The 12" I19 SS FM parallels the 30"CS in WMVD and veers east at the 14th Street intersection, crossing 20 WMVD to end outside the north wall of Lift Station No. 7 with a bypass port. Communication 21 infrastructure at north end of the intersection of 14th Street and WMVD includes the installation of I22 two communication vaults and conduit between the vaults. All street surface improvements 23 damaged or removed for the installation of the above improvements require replacement, 24 including channelization striping. *** and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract I25 Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. 26 27 1-01.3 Definitions 28 (January 4, 2016 APWA GSP) 29 30 Delete the heading Completion Dates and the three paragraphs that follow it, and replace them 31 with the following: I32 33 Dates I34 Bid Opening Date 35 The date on which the Contracting Agency publicly opens and reads the Bids. 36 Award Date I37 The date of the formal decision of the Contracting Agency to accept the lowest 38 responsible and responsive Bidder for the Work. 39 Contract Execution Date I40 The date the Contracting Agency officially binds the Agency to the Contract. 41 Notice to Proceed Date 42 The date stated in the Notice to Proceed on which the Contract time begins.
