1 machinery or other mechanical equipment; street lighting, electrical distribution or signal 111 <br /> 2 systems; irrigation systems; buildings; or other similar work it may be desirable for the <br /> 3 Engineer to have the Contractor operate and test the work for a period of time after final <br /> 4 inspection but prior to the physical completion date. Whenever items of work are listed in the <br /> 5 Contract Provisions for operational testing they shall be fully tested under operating <br /> 6 conditions for the time period specified to ensure their acceptability prior to the Physical <br /> 7 Completion Date. During and following the test period, the Contractor shall correct any items <br /> 8 of workmanship, materials, or equipment which prove faulty, or that are not in first class <br /> 9 operating condition. Equipment, electrical controls, meters, or other devices and equipment <br /> 10 to be tested during this period shall be tested under the observation of the Engineer, so that <br /> 11 the Engineer may determine their suitability for the purpose for which they were installed. <br /> 12 The Physical Completion Date cannot be established until testing and corrections have been <br /> 13 completed to the satisfaction of the Engineer. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 The costs for power, gas, labor, material, supplies, and everything else needed to <br /> 16 successfully complete operational testing, shall be included in the unit contract prices <br /> 17 related to the system being tested, unless specifically set forth otherwise in the proposal. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Operational and test periods, when required by the Engineer, shall not affect a manufacturer's <br /> 20 guaranties or warranties furnished under the terms of the contract. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1-05.13 Superintendents, Labor and Equipment of Contractor <br /> 24 (August 14, 2013 APWA GSP) <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Delete the sixth and seventh paragraphs of this section. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 1-05.14 Cooperation With Other Contractors <br /> 29 (March 13, 1995 WSDOT GSP, Option 1) <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Supplement this section with the following: <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Other Contracts Or Other Work <br /> 34 It is anticipated that the following work adjacent to or within the limits of this project will be <br /> 35 performed by others during the course of this project and will require coordination of the work: , <br /> 36 <br /> 37 *** <br /> 38 1. Traffic control and other temporary impacts may <br /> 42 still be in place during the shutdown period. Bridge construction may resume during <br /> 43 the utilities project and require greater coordination. Concurrent work may include, but <br /> 44 is not limited to, utility installation, preparation for bridge installation and/or assembly, <br /> 45 paving, sidewalk and other surfacing installation, continuing installation on the bridge <br /> 46 itself, landscaping and traffic control.
