PROJECT CLOSE-OUT <br /> 017000 - 1 <br /> SECTION 017000 -PROJECT CLOSE-OUT <br /> 1. GENERAL <br /> 1.1. Related Documents: Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General <br /> Conditions, Special Conditions and other Division-1 Specification sections, apply to <br /> work of this section. <br /> 1.2. Project Close-out Definition: <br /> Project close-out is the term used to describe certain collective project requirements, <br /> indicating completion of the work that are to be fulfilled near the end of the Contract <br /> time in preparation for final payment to the Contractor and the normal termination of <br /> the Contract. <br /> 2. RECORD DOCUMENT SUBMITTALS <br /> 2.1. General: Special requirements for record documents are indicated in the individual <br /> sections of these specifications. Other requirements are indicated in the General <br /> Conditions. General submittal requirements are indicated in the various "submittals" <br /> sections. <br /> 1. Do not use record documents for construction purposes; protect from <br /> deterioration and loss in a secure, fire-resistive location;provide access to <br /> record documents for the Architect/Engineer's reference during normal <br /> working hours. <br /> 2. Record documents will be reviewed weekly by the School District <br /> Representative and the Architect/Engineer. Failure to keep "current" record <br /> documents may cause delay approval of Pay Requests. <br /> 3. Submit record documents to Architect for review and approval prior to <br /> Substantial Completion. <br /> 2.2 As-built Drawings: Maintain a complete record set of blue or black line prints of <br /> contract drawings and shop drawings in a clean,undamaged condition. Mark-up the <br /> set of record documents to show the actual installation where the installed work <br /> varies substantially from the work as originally shown. Mark whichever drawing is <br /> most capable of showing the actual "field" condition fully and accurately; however, <br /> where Shop Drawings are used for mark-up;record a cross-reference at the <br /> corresponding location on the working drawings. Give particular attention to <br /> concealed work that would be difficult to measure and record at a later date. <br /> 1. Mark record sets with red erasable pencil and where feasible,use other colors <br /> to distinguish between variations in separate categories of work. <br /> 2. Mark-up new information which is known to be important to the Owner, but <br /> for some reason was not shown on either contract drawings or shop drawings. <br /> 3. Delineate a Cloud identifying location of change and provide reference to <br /> respective Change Order numbers, Supplemental Drawing (SD)numbers, or <br /> Request for Information(RFI)numbers where work has deviated significantly <br /> from the Contract documents. In addition show all addendum items. <br /> 4. At Substantial Completion, deliver Record As-built Contract Drawing information <br /> to Architect.) <br /> 2.3.
