CASCADE HIGH SCHOOL SYNTHETIC TURF FIELD <br /> EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOL 09/12/2013 <br /> Warranty Insurance Policy <br /> In conjunction with the Manufacturer's Warranty the Turf Contractor shall furnish a Warranty <br /> Insurance Policy with the following provisions from a minimum 'A' rated surety listed in the A.M. <br /> Best Key Rating Guide and licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington: <br /> 1. Pre-paid premiums for 8 years <br /> 2. The policy must include a minimum aggregate of $5,000,000 per year and be based on claims <br /> arising from fields installed and completed only during the policy year. <br /> 3. The Policy must include an unlimited amount per claim up to the maximum aggregate of a <br /> minimum$500,000 coverage per field. <br /> 4. The Policy shall be non-cancelable by either the Turf Manufacturer (Insured Party) or the <br /> Insurance Carrier during the 8-year term and cannot have any epidemic failure limitations or <br /> restrictions on the annual usage for intended sports. <br /> a. The coverage must be for labor,materials and any other costs to repair or replace each <br /> field per the Warranty Certificate,which names the Owner as the Certificate Holder. <br /> b. Upon completion of the field,the Turf Manufacturer will supply evidence that the policy <br /> is in effect, fully funded and that the installation is added to the policy upon completion <br /> and acceptance of the installation. <br /> c. The Policy shall include a provision that gives the Owner (Certificate Holder) direct <br /> access to the Insurer for full rights and remedies even in the event that the Insured Party <br /> (Turf Manufacturer) is bankrupt, no longer in business or otherwise unable to provide <br /> warranty repair services. <br /> NOTE: Upon contract Award the Turf Contractor shall submit to the Landscape Architect and Owner <br /> specimen copies of the 8-year minimum prepaid, non-prorated, third-party insured warranty and <br /> insurance policy information that will be fully executed upon completion and documents closeout. <br /> 1.9 SURFACE AREA <br /> A. See Athletic Field Drawing Sheets for layout. Contractor will verify all measurements and dimensions. <br /> PART 2-PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Artificial turf material will be a tufted, monofilament polyethylene grass-like fabric coated with a <br /> secondary backing of high-grade woven polyurethane. The face primary backing will be non-woven <br /> fiberglass reinforced. The fibers shall be tufted to a finished pile height of approximately two (2) <br /> inches. The turf fabric shall be filled with a mixture of sand and rubber blend in specific mix ratios. <br /> B. All components and their installation method shall be designed and manufactured for use on outdoors- <br /> athletic fields. The materials as hereinafter specified will be able to withstand full climatic exposure in <br /> Everett, Washington, be resistant to 1) insect infestation; 2) rot; 3) fungus and mildew; 4) ultra-violet <br /> light and 5)heat degradation. <br /> INFILLED SYNTHETIC TURF 32 1822-4 <br />
