PROJECT COORDINATION <br /> 010400 - 1 <br /> SECTION 010400-PROJECT COORDINATION <br /> 1. GENERAL <br /> 1.1. Related Documents: Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including <br /> General and Supplementary Conditions, Special Conditions and other Division-1 <br /> Specification sections, apply to work of this section. <br /> I 1.2. Instructions: All instructions will be given by the Architect.No other instructions <br /> shall be recognized. <br /> 1. Instructions from the Architect will be made to the Contractor, or his <br /> authorized agent(job superintendent) for distribution to <br /> subcontractors/tradesmen on the job. <br /> 2. Subcontractors and material men shall not contact the Architect to discuss the <br /> job. <br /> 1.3. Description of Work: Administrative and supervisory requirements necessary for <br /> coordination of work on the project include but are not necessarily limited to the <br /> following: <br /> Coordination and meetings <br /> I Surveys and records/reports <br /> General installation provisions <br /> Cleaning and protection <br /> 2. COORDINATION AND MEETINGS <br /> I 2.1. General: Prepare a written memorandum on required coordination activities. <br /> Include such items as required notices,reports and attendance at meetings. <br /> Distribute this memorandum to each entity performing work at the project site. <br /> Prepare similar memorandum for separate contractors where interfacing of their work <br /> is required. <br /> 2.2. Monthly Coordination Meetings: Hold monthly general project coordination <br /> meetings at regularly scheduled times convenient for all parties involved. These <br /> meetings are in addition to specific meetings held for other purposes, such as regular <br /> project meetings and special pre-installation meetings. Request representation at each <br /> meeting by every party currently involved in coordination or planning for the work of <br /> the entire project. Conduct meetings in a manner which will resolve coordination <br /> problems. Record results of the meeting and distribute copies to everyone in <br /> attendance and to others affected by decisions or actions resulting from each meeting. <br /> At Contractor's option,monthly coordination meetings can be held integrally each <br /> month with progress meetings. <br /> 3. SURVEYS AND RECORDS/REPORTS <br /> I3.1 General: Working from lines and levels established by the property survey, establish <br /> and maintain bench marks and other dependable markers. Establish bench marks and <br /> markers to set lines and levels for work at each story of construction and elsewhere <br /> as needed to properly locate each element of the project. <br /> 02/19/13 <br /> I <br />
