<br /> The following miscellaneous construction work will be paid for by Force Account as
<br /> specified in 1-09.6 FORCE ACCOUNT. For the purpose of providing a common Proposal
<br /> for all Bidders. and for that purpose only, the City has estimated an amount and included it
<br /> in the bid item for Force Account work to become part of the total Bid by the Contractor.
<br /> (f) Cost for additional excavation, fittings, and labor to make grade adjustments to
<br /> the new watermain for unknown underground conflicts and conflicts due to
<br /> being unmarked or mismarked utilities in the field.
<br /> (b) Restoration of existing special private improvements including, but not limited
<br /> to, brick or stone walkways, decorative concrete walks or driveways, concrete
<br /> masonry or stone walls, rockery's, fences, landscape plantings, including but
<br /> not limited to, hedges, trees, flowerbeds, irrigation systems, yard lighting,
<br /> rockeries, retaining walls, or steps.
<br /> Bid Item 53 - Traffic Control Labor
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Hour (HR)
<br /> This unit price bid item includes all costs associated with traffic control labor as identified in
<br /> 1-10.3 FLAGGING, SIGNS, AND ALL OTHER TRAFFIC CONTROL DIVICES of these
<br /> Special Provisions.
<br /> Furnish all personnel for flagging to control traffic, including pedestrians, during
<br /> construction operations in accordance with Section 1-10 of the Standard Specifications, the
<br /> Plans, approved traffic control plans, these Special Provisions and as directed by the City.
<br /> Bid Item 54 - Landscape Restoration 1
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Lump Sum (LS)
<br /> Measurement for providing Landscape Restoration will be lump sum.
<br /> Payment for Landscape Restoration, Lump Sum, will be limited to dimensions and work
<br /> limits defined on Drawing C6 or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
<br /> The unit price per square yard for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding shall be full compensation for
<br /> all labor, compaction, material, tools, and equipment necessary to provide compacted 4
<br /> inches thick imported Topsoil, Type A for the Work as required, from a Contractor-supplied
<br /> source, and furnishing and installing a jute netting covering the seed in accordance with the
<br /> Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.
<br /> The unit price for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding includes all costs for hauling, stockpiling,
<br /> placing, grading, compacting, seeding, and controlling moisture content.
<br /> Also to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of all subgrade preparation and grader
<br /> work, or any other equipment required to establish correct surfaces to proper grade before
<br /> the topsoil is placed, as well as all equipment required to spread and compact the topsoil
<br /> uniformly on the surface to be seeded. Also included shall be the costs for removing,
<br /> loading, hauling, and disposing of unsuitable or displaced materials.
<br /> Include cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the topsoil and while
<br /> spreading and compacting the material along with turf establishment in the unit price for
<br /> this bid item.
<br /> Payment for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding will be determined by the square yard as measured
<br /> in place. 1
