No comments. <br /> Structural <br /> General: <br /> 1. The numerical grid lines on the structural plans on Sheet S2 are not consistent with <br /> architectural plans on Sheet A1.0. The grid lines should be reviewed and revised as needed. <br /> See IBC Section 107.2.1. Grid locations have been updated to match Arch. Drawings. <br /> 2. Section 1/S2.1 is referenced on all four sides of the building on Sheet S2.0. The section is <br /> identified as both typical and similar (i.e., "SIM") for the parapet brace framing oriented <br /> parallel and perpendicular to the roof framing. The similar condition should be clarified. SIM. <br /> Condition has been verified, details cut with 'SIM' on the plan sheet. The note in 1/S2.1 has <br /> been updated as well. <br /> 3. Detail 9/S2.1 specifies through-bolts between the existing beams and C10 beams. See also <br /> Detail 2-2B/S2.1. Verify that the intended grade of the bolts for both connections is A307 per <br /> the "Timber"section of the General Structural Notes on Sheet SO. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> Through-bolts in detail 9 for steel to wood connection are intended to be A307 bolts. "A307" <br /> not has been added to detail. Detail 2-2b/S2.1 specifies A325 bolts for the steel to steel <br /> connection. <br /> 4. The roof framing plan on Sheet S2 specifies LVL joists to supplement the existing framing. The <br /> grade of the joists should be specified in the General Structural Notes on Sheet SO. See IBC <br /> Section 107.2.1 SO sheet has been updated. <br /> Gravity System: <br /> 5. The roof framing plan on Sheet S2 appears to be missing joist connections. See IBC Section <br /> 107.2.1 and 1604.1. Details and calculations should be submitted for review for the following <br /> typical conditions: <br /> a. Joist-to-joist connections. Please see supplemental calculations and new detail for"(N)joist <br /> to (E ) Beam". <br /> b. Fascia-to-fascia connections at the roof corners. Calculations for fascia to fascia <br /> connections at the roof corners have been provided. Attachments have been noted on the <br /> plans. Please see updated plans and calculations. <br /> c. Joist-to-rim joist at the building exterior wall. Please see supplemental calculations and <br /> updated detail 7/S2.1 substantiating and clarifying joist-to-rim connection. <br /> 6. The roof framing plan on Sheet S2 specifies inverted Simpson "HUC" hangers at the perimeter <br /> of the roof. The following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. The size of the hanger should be specified.
