Please review and respond to the comments below.
Plan review will resume when the requested information is submitted. All required submittals
must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that the proposed structures will be
constructed in compliance with all adopted codes, with two sets of drawings submitted for
revisions.
Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Building
Structural, Public Works, Utilities, Planning, or Fire).
All revisions require the person delivering the drawings to replace revisions into the two review
sets here at our offices. For significant revisions, please provide two full replacement sets. If
the revisions are coming directly by mail or from the blue-printer, please make arrangements to
print two complete replacement sets.
General
1. The method of compliance with the IEBC should be identified in the code analysis, to
include whether it is prescriptive, work area, or performance compliance. For the
purpose of this plan review, I will assume work area method for the tenant
improvement.
2. All new or replacement exterior signage should be clouded on the drawings to be
submitted for deferred permit.
Occupancy
1. The maximum occupant load referenced on the cover page should be included in the
note on F-1 on Sheet A-1.0.
2. The original permit B9410-012 included automatic fire detection. Please include that
requirement in the code analysis on the cover sheet.
3. Two exits from the public space should be shown on the drawings, or the posted
occupant load should be reduced to 49 maximum.
a. A discernible path of egress should be shown with illuminated exit signs on the
drawings, per IBC section 1011.1.
b. Emergency lighting should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 1006.1.
CITY OF EVERETT PERMIT SERVICES 3200 CEDAR ST, EVERETT, WA 98201 425-257-8810 II
website:www.everettwa.gov/permit January 24, 2017 email: everetteps@everettwa.gov
