' 2. Contractor shall provide, w,thout charge, such competent person, tools, stakes, and other materials as Engineer may require in checking layout, survey, and measurement work performed by Contractor. C. Provide all additional survey, layout, and measurement work required. 1. Locate and protect control points prior to starting site work, and preserve all permanent reference points during construction. 2. Make no changes or relocations without prior written notice to Engineer 3. Report to Engineer when any reference point is lost or destroyed, or requires relocation because of necessary changes in grades or locations. 4. Establish lines and levels, locate and lay out by instrumentation and similar ' appropriate means. 5. Stakes for grading, fill, and topsoil placement. 6. Utility slopes and invert elevation. 7. Controlling lines and levels required for the mechanical and electrical trades. 8. From time to time, verify layouts by the same methods. 9. Maintain a complete, accurate log of all control and survey work as it progresses. 10. Upon request of Engineer, submit documentation to verify accuracy of field engineering work. D. Work may be conducted at the site by other contractors during the performance of the Work under this contract, either under contract to the City or by other agencies. Conduct operations so as to cause a minimum of interference with the work of such other contractors and cooperate fully with such contractors to allow continued safe ' access to their respective portions of the Site, as required to perform work under their respective contracts. E. Interference with Work On Utilities: Cooperate fully with all City forces or forces of other public or private agencies engaged in maintenance activities or the relocation, altering, or otherwise rearranging of any facilities which coordinates with the progress of the Work, and schedule the Work so as to minimize interference with said relocation, altering, or other rearranging of facilities. 1.7 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS A. Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinance applicable to the Work. B. References in the Contract Documents to local codes shall mean The City of Everett, Washington. ' C. Other standards and codes that apply to the Work are designated in the Specifications. 1.8 RAILROAD CERTIFICATION ' A. Work on this site is in the vicinity of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Conduct work without encroaching on or fouling railroad property. 1.9 ACCESS BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS A. Authorized representatives of governmental agencies shall at all times have access to the Work where it is in preparation or progress.
