' 2. Contractor shall provide, w,thout charge, such competent person, tools, stakes, and <br /> other materials as Engineer may require in checking layout, survey, and <br /> measurement work performed by Contractor. <br /> C. Provide all additional survey, layout, and measurement work required. <br /> 1. Locate and protect control points prior to starting site work, and preserve all <br /> permanent reference points during construction. <br /> 2. Make no changes or relocations without prior written notice to Engineer <br /> 3. Report to Engineer when any reference point is lost or destroyed, or requires <br /> relocation because of necessary changes in grades or locations. <br /> 4. Establish lines and levels, locate and lay out by instrumentation and similar <br /> ' appropriate means. <br /> 5. Stakes for grading, fill, and topsoil placement. <br /> 6. Utility slopes and invert elevation. <br /> 7. Controlling lines and levels required for the mechanical and electrical trades. <br /> 8. From time to time, verify layouts by the same methods. <br /> 9. Maintain a complete, accurate log of all control and survey work as it progresses. <br /> 10. Upon request of Engineer, submit documentation to verify accuracy of field <br /> engineering work. <br /> D. Work may be conducted at the site by other contractors during the performance of the <br /> Work under this contract, either under contract to the City or by other agencies. <br /> Conduct operations so as to cause a minimum of interference with the work of such <br /> other contractors and cooperate fully with such contractors to allow continued safe <br /> ' access to their respective portions of the Site, as required to perform work under their <br /> respective contracts. <br /> E. Interference with Work On Utilities: Cooperate fully with all City forces or forces of other <br /> public or private agencies engaged in maintenance activities or the relocation, altering, <br /> or otherwise rearranging of any facilities which coordinates with the progress of the <br /> Work, and schedule the Work so as to minimize interference with said relocation, <br /> altering, or other rearranging of facilities. <br /> 1.7 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinance <br /> applicable to the Work. <br /> B. References in the Contract Documents to local codes shall mean The City of Everett, <br /> Washington. <br /> ' C. Other standards and codes that apply to the Work are designated in the Specifications. <br /> 1.8 RAILROAD CERTIFICATION <br /> ' A. Work on this site is in the vicinity of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Conduct <br /> work without encroaching on or fouling railroad property. <br /> 1.9 ACCESS BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS <br /> A. Authorized representatives of governmental agencies shall at all times have access to <br /> the Work where it is in preparation or progress.
