The rules and <br /> Wages of Employees", of the Sp at o gu p <br /> I Labor and Industries and the schedule of prevailing wage rates for the locality or locations where <br /> this contract will be performed as determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of <br /> Labor and Industries are, by reference, made a part of this contract as though fully set forth <br /> Iherein. <br /> Inasmuch as the Contractor will be held responsible for paying the prevailing wages, it is <br /> 1 imperative that all Contractors familiarize themselves with the current wage rates before <br /> submitting bids based on these specifications. <br /> The Contractor and each subcontractor, on or before the date of commencement of work, shall <br /> I submit to the owner and with the Director of Labor and Industries a"Statement of Intent to Pay <br /> Prevailing Wages." Following the acceptance of the project, the Contractor and each <br /> Subcontractor shall submit an "Affidavit of Wages Paid" certifying that all prevailing wage <br /> I requirements have been satisfied. Such statements and any supplemental statements which may <br /> be necessary shall be filed in accordance with the practices and procedures required by the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries. The Contractor must comply with all local, state and federal <br /> 1 laws pertaining to non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity. <br /> 1.12 DBE/WBE Subcontractor Requirements <br /> IThe Contractor is required to actively solicit bids for subcontract work from "Disadvantaged <br /> Business Enterprises" (DBE's) and "Women's Business Enterprises" (WBE's). The Contractor <br /> I is required also to document such effort on the "City of Everett Disadvantaged/Women's <br /> Business Enterprise"form and to submit said form with its contract proposal bid. <br /> 1.13 Non-Collusion Affidavit <br /> IThe Contractor must submit a"Non-Collusion Affidavit"as part of the proposal package. <br /> I 1.14 Prevention of Environmental Pollution and Preservation of Public Natural <br /> Resources <br /> I The Contractor is required to comply with Sections 01560 of the Specifications relating to <br /> environmental issues. <br /> I 1.15 Payment <br /> Contractor will be paid in cash warrants in accordance with Section 00710, Part 9 "Measurement <br /> and Payment", of the Specifications. <br /> 1 1.16 State Sales Tax <br /> EVERETT RIVERFRONT SURCHARGE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> PHASE 3 WO No. RD 3316-32 <br /> 1 00200-3 <br />
