In response to your <br />application for a construction permit, your pians have been examined and you are advised that <br />revisions may be required. Plan review will resume when the requested information is <br />submitted. All required submittals must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that <br />the proposed structure �vill be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction <br />documents reflecting the corrections requested. <br />The building should be shown to comply with the mechanical, building, energy, and accessibility <br />codes. The solution to meeting all of those codes should be shown on the drawings, to scope <br />of the intended compliance methods for deferred permits. New comments are underlined. <br />General <br />1. Revisions to the occupancv and construction tvpe will affect the corrections required. <br />You ma want to consider a restricted seatinq area with a oosted B occu ancy of 49, tq <br />reduce the code requirements for the change of occupancv to an A-3. <br />Structurel <br />1. If the mezzanine will slill be used for mechanical e_quipment as shown on the drawings, <br />the structural freming of the mezzanine should be shown to indicate that it suffcient for <br />live loads and the new guard load requirements, per IBC section 1607.8. <br />a. Where the live load for the mechanical mezzanine has been designed to exceed <br />50 psf, the live load should be conspicuously posted by the owner, per IBC <br />section 106.1. <br />Occupancy <br />1. Please include in the code analysis on the drawings, the ages and number of children <br />that will be using the Youth Center, and answers to the following questions. <br />a. Is the use of'Youth Center' going to be licensed by the Department of Early <br />Leaming as a Childcare Center? <br />I� 3 <br />
