If the building use includes daycare, then sprinklers may be required, per IBC section <br />903.2.3, once revised occupancy calculations are submitted for educational use, at 35 <br />occupants per net sf, per the definition of Floor area, net, in IBC :hapter 2, and IBC <br />table 10004.1.2. <br />3. Please indicate the location and content of the posted occupancy signs on the drawings <br />for rooms with assembly occupancy, per IBC table 1004.1.1. <br />Egress <br />1. All assembly areas (interior and designated exterior assembly areas), should have the <br />following indicated on the drawings: <br />a. Emergency lighting should be shown on the reflected ceiling plan inside the <br />building, per IBC sections 1006.1 and 10063. <br />b. 1Nhere changes of elevation of less than 12 inches exist in the means of egress, <br />sloped surfaces should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 1003.5. <br />c. Tactile exit signs should be shown on the drawings adjacent to each door to the <br />exit discharge, per IBC section 1011.3. <br />d. If locks and latches are provided on doors or gates in assembly areas, signage <br />per IBC section 1008.1.9.3 should be shown on the drawings for each of these <br />areas. <br />2. If the exit discharge is located where access to a public way cannot be provided, a safe <br />dispersal area should be shown on the site plan drawing, per I8C section 1027.6. <br />a. If the means of egress is through the pedestrian gates shown on the enclosure <br />for the complex, gates serving the means of egress should be shown on the <br />drawings to conform to the same code requirements for doors, per IBC section <br />1008.2 <br />Construction <br />1. A new guard should be shown in detail and dimensions for the mechanical mezzanine, <br />per IBC section 1013.2 and 1013.4. <br />Accessibilitry <br />1. A char:ge of occupancy should include the following accessibiliry revisions shown on the <br />dra�ving, per IBC section 3411.4: <br />• One accessible building entrance. <br />. An accessible route connecting accessible parking to an accessible entrance. <br />2. The accessible route should be shown in its entirety on tlie architectural site plan <br />drawings, with details referenced on the plans for the pedestrian and vehicular access <br />site points to the accessible building entrances served, per IBC seCtion 1104.1. <br />a) Ramps should be shown with Ievei landings, at the top and bottom of s:andard <br />ramps, per ICC A1i7.1-2003 section 405.7, or at curb ramps per ICC A117.1-2003 <br />section 406. <br />b) Ramp landings shouid be dimensioned on the drawings to meet the minimum width <br />requirements for turns and door entrances, per ICC A117.1-2009 section 405.7, <br />when they are part of the accessible route, per IBC section 1109.2. <br />z/3 <br />
