I 1 Provisions Section 9-03 or bank run per Standard Specifications Section 9-03.19 for trench backfill and other work as required, from a Contractor-supplied source in accordance with 111Section 2-03.3(14)J of the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. Recycled concrete can be used in lieu of gravel borrow for trench backfill above the pipe zone and up to 3 feet below ground surface subject to approval on the source/supplier in advance by the Engineer. Moisture content of material during placement and compaction shall not exceed 3% above optimum moisture content of maximum dry density as determined by section 2-03.3(14)D of the standard specification. Only solo dump trucks may be used in the area of the project. The unit price for gravel borrow shall also include all costs for furnishing, hauling, stockpiling, 9 9 moisture control measures, placing, grading and compacting the material in place. Materials may not be stockpiled on the project site. ' Measurement for gravel borrow shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 for Gravel Borrow placed within limits of dimensions defined in the Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, details or COE Standard Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. Payment forgravel borrow will be bythe ton. Y Bid Items A-11 and B-11 — FOUNDATION MATERIAL Specification Section 2-03 Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton I The unit price bid per ton for foundation material, Class A, B or as approved by the Engineer, shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials and equipment required to furnish, place, and compact foundation material as specified in the Standard Specifications, the Special Provisions and as shown on the Contract Plans. The unit price of this bid item includes all costs for dewatering and over-excavation, removal and disposal of unsuitable subgrade material below the pipe zone or roadway subgrade. Measurement for foundation material shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 for Foundation Material placed within the limits of dimensions defined in the Work, descriptions for other Bid Items, shown on the Plans, details or COE Standard Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
