I <br /> The unit price of per each manhole shall also include, but not be limited to, all costs for <br /> ' excavation, removing and disposing of existing pipe and existing manholes, hauling and <br /> disposing of surplus or unsuitable material, dewatering, furnishing and installing couplings <br /> furnishing and installing steps or ladder and all internal components, placing and compacting <br /> native backfill, furnishing, placing, and compacting foundation material as required, cleaning and <br /> ' flushing manholes, reconnecting existing sanitary sewer connections, and replacing, protecting <br /> and maintaining utilities. <br /> Adjusting all manhole rings and covers to final grade shall be included in the unit price for this <br /> bid item. <br /> 1 Also included is installation of field-formed concrete channels and benches inside all manhole <br /> bases. Pre-cast or pre-formed channel bases are not acceptable. <br /> The cost of pipe materials and installation is included in this bid item. The cost of connection of <br /> pipes, except for drop connections, is included in this bid item. <br /> ' Measurement and payment shall be per each manhole installed as measured upon completion. <br /> Bid Item A-22 — DROP MANHOLE CONNECTION <br /> Specification Section 7-05 <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each <br /> The Unit Price for each drop connection shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials <br /> ' and equipment necessary for the construction of an outside drop connection at an existing or <br /> new manhole as defined in the Standard Specifications, COE Standard Drawings, these <br /> specifications and as shown on the Plans. <br /> Specifically included, but not limited to, is all excavation, dewatering, hauling, dewatering, core <br /> drilling, pipe, fittings, blocking and compacted backfill necessary to construct an outside drop for <br /> one sewer pipe of the diameter indicated on the Plans. <br /> Measurement and payment will be on a Unit Price per Each. <br /> Bid Items A-23 and B-30 —ABANDON EXISTING MANHOLE OR CATCH BASIN <br /> ' Specification Section 7-05 <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each <br /> The unit price per each for Abandon Existing Manhole or Catch Basin shall be full compensation <br /> for all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as <br /> defined in Section 7-05.3(2) of these Specifications where shown on the Plans. <br /> Cleveland Avenue Division B—BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS November 2018 <br /> Sewer System Replacement and <br /> Storm Water Separation <br /> WO No. UP3398 SP-41 <br />
