Payment for this bid item shall be made in accordance with Section 1-09.1. <br /> Bid Items A-33 and B-45— CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, 4-INCH THICKNESS <br /> Specification Section 8-14 <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard <br /> The unit price per square yard of Cement Concrete Sidewalk, 4-Inch shall be full compensation <br /> for replacement or installation of concrete sidewalk, driveway or alley approach impacted by <br /> construction activities and/or shown on the Contract Plans in accordance with the COE <br /> Standard Drawings and these Special Provisions. <br /> The cost of sawcutting, removing and disposing of sidewalk and driveways is included in <br /> Roadway Excavation Bid Item. <br /> 1 <br /> Measurement shall be per square yard as delineated by the Contractor and approved by the <br /> Inspector prior to removal. <br /> Deductions will be made for blocked out areas, castings, or other discontinuities in the sidewalk <br /> 9 square feet or larger. <br /> Measurements for"Gravel Borrow" to be used as fill for sidewalk subgrade will be by the ton as <br /> recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 and is included in Gravel Borrow Bid <br /> Item. <br /> Measurement for"Crushed Surfacing Top Course" to be used under this Bid item will be by the <br /> ton as recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 and is included in Crushed <br /> Surfacing Top Course Bid Item. <br /> The unit contract price for this Bid item shall include all costs for the work required to construct <br /> the sidewalk as specified, including the earth work required to excavate excess material or <br /> place fill to achieve design subgrade elevations.
