7. Revise building section drawings to show actual proposed design and existing conditions. <br /> Show ridge beam and connection of the rafters to the ridge beam. Specify rim material, <br /> show top plates and bottom plates, show collar ties parallel to the rafters in section AA. <br /> 8. Provide detail at ridge beam to show how roof rafters are attached to the new ridge beam <br /> and how rafter spaces will be ventilated. <br /> 9. Provide attic ventilation calculations. Show location of all ventilation openings. <br /> 10. Projections located in the 5 foot side yard setback are required to be protected on the <br /> underside with one-hour fire-resistive construction, provide detail. <br /> 11. Provide detail of the connection of the roof rafters to the exterior walls specific to this <br /> structure. <br /> • <br /> 12. Walls located less than 5 feet from the property line are required to be one-hour fire- <br /> resistant assembly protected from both sides. Provide detail of an approved one-hour fire- <br /> resistant assembly applied to this structure. <br /> 13. R302.11 Fireblocking. In combustible construction, fireblocking shall be provided to cut <br /> off both vertical and horizontal concealed draft openings and to form an effective fire <br /> barrier between stories, and between a top story and the roof space. Show required <br /> fireblocking in section drawings and details. <br /> 14. Provide stair section and details. Show all components including stringers (size and <br /> quantity) handrail size and location (return ends), minimum headroom, fireblocking and <br /> finish material of useable spaces under stairs. <br /> R311.7.8.2 Continuity. Handrails for stairways shall be continuous for the full length of <br /> the flight, from a point directly above the top riser of the flight to a point directly above the <br /> lowest riser of the flight. Handrail ends shall be returnedor shall terminate in newel posts <br /> or safety terminals. Handrails adjacent to a wall shall have a space of not less than 11/2 <br /> inches (38 mm) between the wall and the handrails. <br /> 15. Provide section drawing at manufactured trusses. Show raised heel trusses and how <br /> trusses are attached to resist overturning and uplift (See #11 above for ventilation). <br /> 16. Specify construction of interior partitions. Show and identify all components of interior • <br /> partitions in section and/or detail drawing(s). Provide solid blocking at interior bearing <br /> partitions. <br /> 17. Specify header size, species and grade in all bearing walls in the basement. <br /> 18. Provide footings under bearing walls in basement at new stair opening or specify beam <br /> size. <br /> 19. Provide detail(s) for Guard construction per section R312 IRC.
