20. Specify which whole house ventilation system per Section M1507 you are using for <br /> compliance with the requirement for a whole house ventilation system. Show the <br /> requirements of the whole house ventilation system chosen, do not simply reference the <br /> code section. The plans call for"continuous whole house ventilation using exhaust fans" <br /> and "A readily accessible 24 hour timer set to operate 8 hours/day and tied to exhaust <br /> fan". Label size and location of whole house fan on drawings. Size fan per table <br /> M1507.3.3(1). <br /> 21. Provide landing at all entrance/exits, Show size and location on floor plan. <br /> 22. Provide source specific exhaust fan in the bathroom on the lower floor. <br /> Structural <br /> 23. Section BB on A300, collar ties 2x8 are resolving tension loads, please provide calculations <br /> checking the members and connections are sized appropriately for the tension loading <br /> provided. <br /> 24. On Sheet 2/A300 and 4/S200, it appears that CMU walls are present from site photos along <br /> the west elevation. However,existing 2x4 exterior studs are being called out. Please <br /> clarify. Also, CMU wall construction appears to be new, please provide calculations <br /> addressing the design of the wall for gravity and out-of-plane lateral forces. <br /> 25. On 4/S200, CMU walls appear to be new and installed as part of the bearing wall system of <br /> the structure, please provide details and calculations addressing out-of-plane wall <br /> anchorage connections to brace the wall per ASCE 7-10 Sec 12.11.2.1. <br /> 26.The LVL ridge beam size shown on 2/S100 does not match the size shown on the permit <br /> calculations (R1 Beam). Please revise and clarify on drawings on the proposed size shown <br /> on permit calculations are actually beams"sistered"together. <br /> 27. On 1/S100 and 2/S100, please provide calculations indicating that posts and stud walls <br /> supporting the short beam that is supporting the ridge beam. Also, provide calculations for <br /> the new post supporting the ridge beam to the north. <br /> 28. On 1/S100, there is a callout"Linetype denotes full length drag strut per note"NS" in Str <br /> Notes". Please provide Note "NS"on the General Structural Notes, if applicable. Also, <br /> please identify which shear walls the full length drag strut.is"dragging" load to as it <br /> appears that no shear walls are directly connected to shear wall parallel to the drag strut <br /> line depicted. Please clarify. <br /> 29. On 1/S100, the new 2'-0"square footings provided do not meet the minimum steel ratio of <br /> Pmin = 0.0018 per ACI 318-14, Table 24.4.3.2. Please revise and update as required. <br /> 30. On 1/S100, there appears to be ex joists spanning to new beams (7 x 91 PSLs).
