paint are scheduled to be worked on this summer, weather permitting. The Violation Citation case#
CE15-1187 does not mention the roof or paint code violations in the Violation Citation.
Additionally,
We have received an application for permit to inspect an "existing 0 clearance gas stove". Gas piping
installations require a pressure test be conducted. The inspection that I requested was to confirm that
the "existing 0 clearance gas stove" is install per the original permit purchased at the time of installation.
In addition the compliance officer was concerned that the 4 ft. of fixable gas line that runs through this
area was not strapped per code. I had several straps installed on this 4' piece of fixable gas line even
though the original installation did not require it to pass the inspection. The gas is turned off in apt B. as
the "existing 0 clearance gas stove" is in need of repair and is presently not in the budget. I believe that
the pressure test is not necessary to confirm the "existing 0 clearance gas stove" is installed per the
original permit. If you require this inspection arrangements for this test will be necessary.
Please note that his permit has not yet been issued due to concerns related to the "limited access
restrictions imposed"for inspections of this building. The Violation Citation case#CE15-1187 that I have
received is for the living room and kitchen area of apt. B.There is no mention of any other location in or
around the building in the Violation Citation.
Please make arrangements for suitable access to the building for inspections.
This notice is not meant as a complete list of deficiencies within the building. I have requested and
purchased or attempted to purchase permits to confirm that the wiring and "existing 0 clearance gas
stove" are safe in the living room and kitchen area of 1902 Virginia Ave apt B. It has been identified
however that corrections to the electrical system and other repairs will be necessary to bring the
structure into compliance. I am unclear as to what electrical corrections have been identified to make
safe the living room and kitchen area of 1902 Virginia Ave apt B.
Regards
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
3 J
