Box 45245 Olympia, WA 98504-2525 Re: Snohomish County and City of Everett Joint Application for Designations as Projects of Statewide Significance Dear Mr. Bonlender; Snohomish County and the City of Everett have jointly collaborated with state and local agencies on the Governor's Task Force to Expedite Permitting for 777X. Our efforts have identified a site in Snohomish County on Paine Field Airport, and sites in Everett on the Boeing-Everett campus that are collectively referred to as the 777X SEPA Addendum Project, that can accommodate development requirements to manufacture and assemble the next generation Boeing 777X aircraft. The 80- acre County Airport site has been reserved specifically to meet multiple large aerospace manufacturing development requirements that may occur in phases. The Paine Field Aerospace Business Park site in Snohomish County and the 777X SEPA Addendum sites in City of Everett all have unique transportation infrastructure that provides private road driving access directly to the Boeing- Everett manufacturing campus. Thus, these sites are unique in all of Washington State by their connection to Boeing-Everett campus. These sites also commonly connect to aerospace manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers worldwide by having direct access to the main runway of Paine Field Airport. Snohomish County and the City of Everett jointly, and respectfully, request that the Washington State Department of Commerce designate the Paine Field Aerospace Business Park project and the 777X SEPA Addendum Project each as being a Project of Statewide Significance.
