Said plan-checking fees for buildings of Groups I and J <br /> Occupancies shall be one-half of the building permit <br /> fees, except that where the same drawings are used for <br /> more than one proposed construction, the plan-checking <br /> fee for a second and subsequent proposed construction <br /> shall be one-quarter of the building permit fee. Plan- <br /> checking fees for all other buildings shall be 65 per- <br /> cent of the building permit fees as set forth in Table <br /> No. 3-A. " <br /> Where plans are incomplete, or changed so as to require <br /> additional plan checking, an additional plan-check fee <br /> shall be charged at a rate established by the Building <br /> Official . <br /> Section 6 : That Section 1304 of the Uniform Building <br /> Code, 1973 Edition, be and hereby is amended by adding <br /> the following to the end of the Section. <br /> "Section 1304 - Exit Facilities <br /> Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room or portion <br /> thereof in any story which is more than 12 feet above <br /> grade as defined herein and having an occupant load <br /> of 10 or more shall have access to the number of exits <br /> as required in Section 3302 (a) for floors above the <br /> first floor. <br /> Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room or portion <br /> thereof in any story, which is more than 12 feet above <br /> grade as defined herein and having an occupant load <br /> of less than 10, shall have access to two exits . <br /> Exceptions: <br /> 1 . Every occupant may have access to one exit and one <br /> horizontal exit through a two-hour fire-resistive area <br /> separation wall . <br /> 2 . Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room sepa- <br /> rated from other dwelling units or sleeping rooms by <br /> one-hour fire-resistive construction may have one pri- <br /> vate exit which discharges to the exterior at grade <br /> level. <br /> 3 . Every dwelling unit or every sleeping room which <br /> is protected with an automatic fire extinguishing <br /> sprinkler device installed inside every opening into <br /> exit ways , may have one exit. <br /> Interior corridors and stairways serving an occupant <br /> load of less than 10 may have one exit provided they <br /> are separated from other spaces by one-hour fire- <br /> resistive separation or equivalent fire protection as <br /> approved by the Building Official . " <br /> Section 7 : That Subsection 1310 (a) of the Uniform <br /> Building Code, 1973 Edition, be and hereby is amended <br /> as follows: <br /> "Subsection 1310 (a) - Fire Detection Systems <br /> Every dwelling unit within an apartment house shall be <br /> provided with approved detectors of products of combus- <br /> tion other than heat conforming to U.B.C. Standard No . <br /> 43-6 mounted on the ceiling or wall at a point central- <br /> ly located in the corridor or area giving access to rooms <br />
