Section 2 : INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> From and after the adoption of this ordinance, all instal- <br /> lation of wires and equipment to carry electrical current and <br /> the installation and the alteration and extension of all electrical <br /> equipment shall be in strict conformity with this ordinance, the <br /> National Electrical Code edited by the National Board of Fire <br /> Underwriters and recommended by the National Fire Protection <br /> Association for 1971, and the Rules and Regulations for Installing <br /> Electrical Wires and Equipment, as issued by the Department of <br /> Labor and Industries of the State of Washington, issued April 1, 1972 , <br /> the Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Installations <br /> Law of the StatE: of Washington, Revised December 1, 1971, the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries Rules for Electrical Construction, <br /> Revised September, 1965, the Department of Labor and Industries <br /> Electrical Construction Code, adopted December 1, 1964 , and the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries Rules and Regulations for <br /> Mobile Homes, Commercial Coaches and Recreational Vehicles <br /> Revised January 1, 1972 . In case of conflict, the specific pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall prevail over the codes adopted. <br /> In case of conflict between codes adopted, the stricter shall <br /> prevail. <br /> Section 3 : NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE ADOPTED <br /> The National Electrical Code as edited by the National Fire <br /> Underwriters and recommended by the National Fire Protection <br /> Association for the year 1971, is hereby adopted as part of the <br /> electrical code of the City of Everett. Three copies of said <br /> 1971 National Electrical Code are on file with the City Clerk of <br /> the City of Everett and such code is hereby made a part of this <br /> ordinance as is fully set forth herein. The National Electrical <br /> Code now in force will be kept in force until this ordinance <br /> has been adopted. <br /> Section 4 : RULES-DEPARTMENT OF LABOR ADOPTED <br /> The rules and regulations for installing electrical wires and <br /> equipment as issued by the Department of Labor and Industries of <br /> the State of Washington, April 1, 1972, and the Department of Labor <br /> and Industries Electrical Installations Law of the State of <br /> Washington, Revised December 1, 1971, the Department of Labor and <br /> Industries Rules for Electrical Construction, Revised September, 1965, <br /> the Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Construction Code, <br /> adopted December 1, 1964 , and the Department of Labor and Industries <br /> Rules and Regulations for Mobile Homes, Commercial Coaches and <br /> Recreational Vehicles Revised January 1, 1972, are hereby adopted <br /> as a part of the electrical code of the City of Everett. Three <br /> copies of said rules and regulations of the Department of Labor <br /> and Industries and three copies of said laws are on file with the <br /> City Clerk of the City of Everett, and such code is hereby made a <br /> part of this ordinance as is fully set forth herein. The City <br /> of Everett Electrical Inspectors shall have all the powers and <br /> duties given state inspectors under Section 19. 28. 210 of the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Installations Law. <br /> Section 5: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> The following requirements shall be mandatory for the instal- <br /> lation of all electrical wiring and installation of electrical <br /> equipment from and after the date of adoption of this ordinance, <br /> and shall be in addition to all requirements of codes herein <br /> adopted by reference. <br />
