15. Utilities circuit shall have a maximum of four (4) outlets <br /> to any one circuit. <br /> EXCEPTION: Recreation rooms, family rooms or multi-purpose <br /> rooms may have a maximum of ten outlets with a number twelve <br /> American wire gauge copper or number ten aluminum conductor. <br /> 16. A separate 20 amps circuit shall be installed for the <br /> automatic washer terminating in a single duplex receptacle. <br /> 17. All bedrooms in residential occupancies shall have at <br /> least four outlets. Spacing between outlets shall be as equal in <br /> distance as possible,. <br /> 18. Open element electic heaters where grill openings are <br /> larger than 1/4" X 1/2" in size, cannot be installed in bathrooms , <br /> utility rooms, kitchens or commercial buildings. <br /> 19. The thermostats shall not be grouped for controlling <br /> more than one zone. Thermostats shall be located in a manner <br /> that will provide effective control for the heating circuits and <br /> the heating units. <br /> 20. All two-twenty volt branch cicuits shall open so that <br /> all ungrounded conductors are disconnected by a single handle. <br /> 21. Service entrance cables shall not be used for branch <br /> circuits unless granted in answer to a written request filed with <br /> the Electrical Inspector. <br /> 22. Pipe and boxes of aluminum and plastic. All conduits <br /> and conduit boxes and outlet boxes recognized by the National <br /> Electric Code except bakelite boxes used with non-metallic sheath <br /> cable may be used. Aluminum conduit cannot be used in concrete <br /> or cannot be buried in the ground. Electric metallic tubing may <br /> be used in concrete but cannot be in contact with tr.e ground. <br /> 23. Flexible metal conduit shall be used only where the use <br /> of rigid conduit would be impractical and/or where flexibility of <br /> connection is essential. Any flexible conduit exposed to the <br /> elements of the weather or corrosive atmosphere shall be of the <br /> seal-tite type. BX shall not be acceptable. <br /> 24. Wire nuts may be used only in accessible locations and <br /> in no place where it is subject to the weather or corrosion. <br /> 25. Other than secondary lighting all flourescent fixtures <br /> in fire zones #1 and #2 and commercial buildings shall be wired <br /> in an approved metal raceway. <br /> 26. The smallest sized wire permitted in commercial or <br /> industrial buildings other than control wiring and voltage of <br /> 24 volts or less shall be number twelve (12) American Wire Gauge. <br /> 27. In the installation of motors of 1/3 horsepower and <br /> over, such motors shall be supplied by a special purpose circuit. <br /> The total connected horsepower on these circuits shall be in the <br /> conformity of the National Electric Code. Special purpose circuits <br /> shall not be used to supply general lighting or utility circuits. <br /> 28 . Glass sliding doors, floor to ceiling glass windows , and <br /> utility rooms shall meet the receptacle requirements of Section 210-22B <br /> of the National Electric Code. In hallways , a receptacle shall be <br /> required every 12 lineal feet or fraction thereof. <br /> 29. Whenever the National Electric Code requires an insulated <br /> bushing, Sections 346-8 and 373. 6B only the screw on type will be <br /> considered as acceptable. <br />
