r , <br /> ti r <br /> Section 2 <br /> Public Dance License: No person, association, co-partnership <br /> or corporation shall hold any public dance without either <br /> having a cabaret license or a license specified herein. For <br /> public dances other than those conducted pursuant to a cabaret <br /> license, the applicant shall pay the following fees ; <br /> - $2 . 50 for a dance at a specific date at the <br /> time and place specified in the license,. <br /> - $100 . 00 annual license fee in lieu of the fee <br /> of $2 .50 for each dance at the time and place <br /> specified in the annual license. <br /> Section 3 <br /> Dance Floors--License--How Computed: There shall be levied <br /> in addition to all other levies herein set forth, a license <br /> fee and tax for the privilege of having a public dance hall. <br /> Such license fee and tax shall be as follows : <br /> If the floor space to be actually used for dancing does not <br /> exceed 2 ,500 square feet, $15 .00 per year, payable in advance. <br /> If the floor space to be used is more than 2 , 500 square feet <br /> and less than 5, 000 square feet, $25. 00 per year, payable in <br /> advance. <br /> If the floor space so used is more than 5 ,000 square feet <br /> and less than 6 ,500 square feet, $30 . 00 per year, payable in <br /> advance. <br /> If the floor space to be so used is more than 6 ,500 square <br /> feet, $50 . 00 per year, payable in advance. <br /> Section 4 <br /> Dance Halls-Moral Standards--Lighting Requirement--Age <br /> Restrictions: No immoral , indecent, suggestive or obscene <br /> dances shall be given or carried on in any building, room, <br /> hall, pavilion or other place licensed under the provisions <br /> of this chapter. Every such building, hall, room, pavilion <br /> or other place used for public dancing shall be kept in a <br /> clean and sanitary condition. All buildings , halls, rooms , <br /> pavilions or other places in which public dances are carried <br /> on, as well as halls, corridors and other rooms leading there- <br /> to or connecting therewith shall at all times , while open to <br /> the public, be fully lighted, and every public dance hall <br /> or any place wherein public dances are carried on, as pro- <br /> vided in this chapter, shall at all times be kept in a clean, <br /> healthful and sanitary condition, and all stairways , halls , <br /> passages and rooms connected with such dance halls shall be <br /> kept open and well lighted. <br /> After sunset, every such dance hall shall be lighted or il- <br /> lumined by either gas or electricity, or other means , in such <br /> manner and to such an extent as is usual or customary of like <br /> dimensions in the night time for public assemblies , before any <br /> person is admitted thereto and before any dance or dancing is <br /> commenced therein. Such lighting or illumination shall be <br /> maintained thereafter throughout the entire time while such <br /> dance or dancing is in progress, and during any recess or <br /> other intermission, without dimunition and without interrup- <br /> tion until such dance is concluded, and until such hall is <br /> cleared and closed, and no "Dimmers" or other like devices <br /> shall be permitted.
