• <br /> Section 6 <br /> Restrictions on Business : No junk or second hand dealer <br /> or pawnbroker shall deal with, or take or receive any- <br /> thing from any person habitually addicted to the use of <br /> morphine or drugs , or knowingly take or receive anything <br /> from any servant or employee, without first ascertaining <br /> that such thing is the property of such servant or <br /> employee; nor shall any such dealer receive any goods or <br /> property from any person on Sunday, or after 10 :00 p.m. , <br /> or before 7: 00 a.m. on any other day. It shall be the <br /> duty of persons engaged in such businesses , upon receiv- <br /> ing information that any goods or things taken or received <br /> by them or left with them have been lost or stolen, to <br /> at once notify the Chief of Police of such fact, giving <br /> the name of the person from whom such thing was received, <br /> the time of its receipt, and such other facts as may tend <br /> to the discovery or conviction of the thief or thieves . <br /> Section 7 <br /> Records of business transactions--Required: Every pawn- <br /> broker or second-hand dealer in the City of Everett, or <br /> their employees, shall keep a book in which shall be <br /> legibly written at the time of each purchase or loan made <br /> an accurate description of the goods, articles or things <br /> purchased or pawned, the time of purchasing or pledging <br /> the same, the amount of money paid therefor or loaned <br /> thereon, the rate of interest to be paid on such loan, <br /> the time within which said pawn is to be redeemed, and <br /> the name , age and place of residence, with the street <br /> number of the house of the person selling or pledging such <br /> article or thing, and when any watch is pledged to any <br /> pawnbroker or second-hand dealer he shall write in said <br /> book the number of the movement and the number of the case , <br /> if any, and the maker thereof, and when any jewelry, or <br /> gold or silver articles of any kind are sold or pledged <br /> to any pawnbroker or second-hand dealer he shall note in <br /> such book all letters or marks inscribed thereon; provid- <br /> ed, that when an article purchased or received is furniture <br /> or the contents of any house or room actually inspected on <br /> the premises , a general record of the transaction shall be <br /> sufficient. <br /> Section 8 <br /> Record of transaction--Content--To be given to Chief of <br /> Police : All pawnbrokers , second-hand dealers and junk <br /> dealers shall upon the making of a purchase or the acceptance <br /> of an article for pawn, immediately fill out a report of said <br /> purchase or pawn on the blank forms to be furnished by the <br /> City of Everett, giving the following information: <br /> (A) A description of all articles received by way of <br /> purchase or pledge; <br /> (B) The number of the ticket in case of pledge issued <br /> thereon; <br /> (C) The amount of the loan; <br /> (D) The name of the person making the pawn or pledge , <br /> together with such person' s residence by way of address , <br /> giving street and city; <br /> (E) A description of the person making the sale, pawn, <br /> or pledge; <br />
