• <br /> • <br /> Section 3 : E.C.C. 1. 16 .360 (Ordinance 20-69 , Section 1) <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Day Laborers employed by the City in any City <br /> department may be rated by their qualifications , <br /> experience and background, and type and nature <br /> of duties to be performed and compensated at a <br /> minimum of no less than One Dollar and Sixty-Five <br /> Cents per hour and a maximum of no more than Four <br /> Dollars per hour . Day Laborers so rated and com- <br /> pensated shall be designated rated day laborers. <br /> The Mayor, together with each department head <br /> employing day laborers , shall establish the rate <br /> of pay therefore within the minimum and maximum <br /> rate based on the qualifications , experience and <br /> background of each day laborer employee and the <br /> type and nature of the duties that the day laborer <br /> shall perform. <br /> Section 4 : There is hereby adopted as part of the Salary <br /> Ordinance a longevity schedule for full time employees , except <br /> commissioned police officers , based on years of service the <br /> amount of which shall be added to and be considered as a part <br /> of, base pay, as follows : <br /> Beginning with the first of the 6th year - $10 per month <br /> Beginning with the first of the 11th year - $20 per month <br /> Beginning with the first of the 16th year - $30 per month <br /> Beginning with the first of the 21st year - $40 per month <br /> Longevity shall not affect part time or day laborers , or <br /> employees in the pay range numbers prefaced E in Section 2 <br /> above. <br /> Section 5 : There are hereby adopted as part of the Salary <br /> Ordinance longevity and educational incentive plans for com- <br /> missioned police officers . Such officers , upon becoming <br /> eligible, may choose to participate in either plan, however, <br /> in no case shall any officer be eligible to participate <br /> concurrently in both plans . <br /> The following shall be the longevity schedule , based upon <br /> years of service, the amount of which shall be added to and <br /> considered a part of, base pay: <br /> After completion of four (4) years - $25 per month <br /> After completion of eight (8) years - $50 per month <br /> After completion of twelve (12) years - $75 per month <br /> After completion of sixteen (16) years - $100 per month <br /> The following shall be the educational incentive plan <br /> schedule, based upon receipt of approved college credits . There <br /> shall be a joint Everett Police Officers Association and City <br /> Administration Committee established which shall determine <br /> the appropriateness of areas of study for which the incentive <br /> pay may be granted. Such pay may not be received during the <br /> initial 9 month probationary period: <br />
