Tape may be used for temporary pavement marking for a maximum of one week. If temporary pavement markings are used for longer than one week, raised pavement markers shall be used. • For the Cement Concrete Roadway construction: Multiple lane closures will be permitted with prior approval from the applicable jurisdiction(s) between the hours of 9:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am Monday. During these times the Contractor shall work continuously and reopen adjacent lanes to traffic immediately following completion of work. Cement concrete roadway shall be re-opened to traffic as soon as a compressive strength of 2500 psi is reached. • ADA compliant pedestrian and bicycle access must be maintained or detours provided at all times. • The Contractor shall notify the Washington State Patrol; local fire, police, emergency service, and the applicable jurisdiction(s); in writing a minimum of five working days prior to each closure. The Contractor shall furnish copies of these notifications to the Engineer. • Canyon Park Park & Ride — A minimum 12-ft wide drive aisle shall remain open for bus access to 1-405. Existing parallel parking stalls along the south side of the drive aisle may be utilized during construction to provide through access for buses. If the Engineer determines the permitted closure hours adversely affect traffic, the Engineer may adjust the hours accordingly. The Engineer will notify the Contractor in writing of any change in the closure hours. No lane closures will be allowed on a holiday or holiday weekend. Holidays that occur on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday are considered a holiday weekend. Portable Changeable Message Sign The Contractor shall furnish and install Portable Changeable Message Signs to notify of closures, lane closures or detours a minimum of one week in advance of closure/detour. Traffic Blockage for Mast Arm Erection During erection of mast arm assemblies, the Contractor may, with the authorization of the Engineer, block all traffic for maximum durations of fifteen minutes between the hours of 12:01 am to 4:00 am Monday through Thursday only. These fifteen-minute blockages shall be separated by an interval long enough to allow the delayed vehicles to clear. Signal Turn-On Signal turn-on for new or rebuilt control equipment will be permitted Monday through Thursday, between 12:01 am to 4 am the same day. The Contractor shall provide Contractor-hired uniformed officer(s), having jurisdiction in the area, to manually control intersections during signal turn-on.
