Tape may be used for temporary pavement marking for a maximum of one week. <br /> If temporary pavement markings are used for longer than one week, raised <br /> pavement markers shall be used. <br /> • For the Cement Concrete Roadway construction: <br /> Multiple lane closures will be permitted with prior approval from the applicable <br /> jurisdiction(s) between the hours of 9:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am Monday. During <br /> these times the Contractor shall work continuously and reopen adjacent lanes to <br /> traffic immediately following completion of work. Cement concrete roadway shall <br /> be re-opened to traffic as soon as a compressive strength of 2500 psi is reached. <br /> • ADA compliant pedestrian and bicycle access must be maintained or detours <br /> provided at all times. <br /> • The Contractor shall notify the Washington State Patrol; local fire, police, <br /> emergency service, and the applicable jurisdiction(s); in writing a minimum of <br /> five working days prior to each closure. The Contractor shall furnish copies of <br /> these notifications to the Engineer. <br /> • Canyon Park Park & Ride — A minimum 12-ft wide drive aisle shall remain open <br /> for bus access to 1-405. Existing parallel parking stalls along the south side of <br /> the drive aisle may be utilized during construction to provide through access for <br /> buses. <br /> If the Engineer determines the permitted closure hours adversely affect traffic, the <br /> Engineer may adjust the hours accordingly. The Engineer will notify the Contractor in <br /> writing of any change in the closure hours. <br /> No lane closures will be allowed on a holiday or holiday weekend. Holidays that occur <br /> on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday are considered a holiday weekend. <br /> Portable Changeable Message Sign <br /> The Contractor shall furnish and install Portable Changeable Message Signs to notify of <br /> closures, lane closures or detours a minimum of one week in advance of closure/detour. <br /> Traffic Blockage for Mast Arm Erection <br /> During erection of mast arm assemblies, the Contractor may, with the authorization of <br /> the Engineer, block all traffic for maximum durations of fifteen minutes between the <br /> hours of 12:01 am to 4:00 am Monday through Thursday only. These fifteen-minute <br /> blockages shall be separated by an interval long enough to allow the delayed vehicles to <br /> clear. <br /> Signal Turn-On <br /> Signal turn-on for new or rebuilt control equipment will be permitted Monday through <br /> Thursday, between 12:01 am to 4 am the same day. The Contractor shall provide <br /> Contractor-hired uniformed officer(s), having jurisdiction in the area, to manually control <br /> intersections during signal turn-on. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP52 <br /> May 2017 <br />
