3) Type 1 &Type 2 raised pavement markers in accordance with Standard Plan M-20.50- <br /> 00 are required for long term temporary pavement marking. Paint may be used for <br /> edge lines and for all lines on side streets. Markers and paint shall be removed, or <br /> renewed for each stage as needed. <br /> 4) Traffic Control Plans shall include site specific plans for ADA compliant pedestrian and <br /> bicycle re-routing during construction. A safe pedestrian route that is a minimum 4-foot <br /> width shall be provided at all times during construction. Pedestrian re-routing may <br /> include on-site re-routing around construction or pedestrian detours at nearby <br /> signalized intersections. For project locations with specific site constraints, pedestrian <br /> re-routing onto the existing road shoulder will be considered if sufficient separation and <br /> protection is provided for pedestrians from vehicular traffic. <br /> 5) Traffic control plans may require coordination with adjacent projects as noted in <br /> Special Provision Section 1-05.14. <br /> 1-10.3 Traffic Control Labor, Procedures and Devices <br /> 1-10.3(3) Traffic Control Devices <br /> 1-10.3(3)A Construction Signs <br /> (March 7, 2005 WSDOT NWR GSP) <br /> Section 1-10.3(3)A is supplemented with the following: <br /> Signal Turn-on/Changeover <br /> Prior to scheduling a turn-on date for a new signal, the Contractor shall install on <br /> each leg of the intersection a 48 in. x 48 in. "New Signal Ahead" sign (W20-902) <br /> on a 4x6 wood post at a location staked by the Engineer. For a rebuilt signal, the <br /> sign shall be a "Signal Revision Ahead" sign (W20-903) meeting the same <br /> requirements. <br /> 1-10.4 Measurement <br /> 1-10.4(3) Reinstating Unit Items With Lump Sum Traffic Control <br /> (August 2, 2004 WSDOT GSP) <br /> Section 1-10.4(3) is supplemented with the following: <br /> The bid proposal contains the item "Project Temporary Traffic Control," lump sum and <br /> the additional temporary traffic control items listed below.
