Add the following new section: <br /> 2-02.3(4) Sawcutting <br /> Where sawcutting is required, the sawcut shall be three inches deep, minimum. Where the <br /> existing pavement is more than three inches thick, the portion below the top three inches may <br /> be broken after the sawcut is made. Sawcuts shall be cleaned by the use of high pressure water <br /> (1,400 psi or greater), or another method as approved by the Engineer. <br /> Care shall be taken to prevent damage to the existing pavement specified to remain.All damage <br /> to existing pavement specified to remain shall be repaired in accordance with Section 1-07.13. <br /> The Contractor shall perform all sawcutting work, including all containment, collection and <br /> disposal of sawcutting debris and wastewater, in accordance with Section 1-07.5(3) as <br /> supplemented in these Special Provisions. <br /> 2-02.4 Measurement <br /> Supplement this section with the following: <br /> Sawcutting will be measured by the linear foot of sawcut, along the line and grade of the sawcut <br /> and the limits of the sawcut as shown in the Plans. <br /> 2-02.5 Payment <br /> Supplement this section with the following: <br /> "Sawcutting", per linear foot. <br /> The unit contract price per linear foot for"Sawcutting" shall be full pay for performing the work <br /> as specified, including containment, collection, and disposal of all sawcutting debris and <br /> wastewater. <br /> Payment for Sawcutting will be made for the original sawcut. No additional payment will be <br /> made for fresh sawcuts made to replace damaged or raveled edges. Payment per linear foot <br /> shall include all sawcutting regardless of depth or type of material cut. <br /> 2-03 ROADWAY EXCAVATION AND EMBANKMENT <br /> 2-03.3(14)J Gravel Borrow Including Haul <br /> This Section is supplemented with the following: <br /> Gravel borrow shall be furnished, placed and compacted to the limits as specified on the Plans <br /> or as directed by the Engineer. Gravel borrow shall be compacted by Method C of Section 2- <br /> 03.3(14)C of the Standard Specifications.
