The shoring and boring pit plan shall be prepared by and bear the seal and signature of a Washington State licensed Professional Civil Engineer. Installed casing pipe shall be free from grease, dirt, rust, moisture and any other deleterious contaminants. Commercial concrete meeting the requirements of Section 6-02.3(2)B may be used to seal the casing. 8-20.3(6) Junction Boxes, Cable Vaults, and Pull boxes Section 8-20.3(6) is supplemented with the following: Unless otherwise noted in the Plans or approved by the Engineer, junction boxes, cable vaults and pull boxes shall not be placed within the traveled way or paved shoulders. The frame and lid shall be from 0 to 3/16 inch below a straight edge laid across the sidewalk, and the lid shall be flat to a maximum of 1/16 inch positive camber. Premolded joint filler for expansion joints shall be placed around junction boxes installed in sidewalks.
