3. The bottom of the sawcut shall be smooth. No edges created by differences in <br /> sawcut depths will be allowed. <br /> 4. All sawcut corners shall be rounded to a minimum 1.5 inch radius. <br /> 5. All sawcuts shall be cleaned with a 1000 psi high pressure washer as certified by <br /> the manufacturer's label on the machine or as measured by an in line pressure <br /> gauge. Wash water and slurry shall be vacuumed out and the sawcut shall be <br /> blown dry with compressed air. Disposal of the wash water and slurry shall <br /> comply with the requirements of Section 1-07.5(3) and the Special Provision <br /> LEGAL RELATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE PUBLIC. <br /> 6. Loops shall be installed after grinding and prior to the final lift of roadway <br /> surfacing material. <br /> 7. The conductor shall be installed one turn on top of the previous turn. All turns <br /> shall be installed in a clockwise direction. The conductors shall be secured to <br /> prevent floating with 2-inch lengths of high temperature foam backer rod sized for <br /> a snug fit. The backer rod shall be spaced at 2-foot intervals around the <br /> perimeter of the sawcut and at corners. <br /> 8. Installation of the sealant shall completely encapsulate the loop conductors. A <br /> minimum of one inch of sealant shall be provided between the top of the <br /> conductors and the top of the sawcut. The top of the sealant shall be flush to 1/8 <br /> inch below the top of the sawcut. <br /> 9. Use of kerosene solvent is prohibited. <br /> Section 8-20.3(14)C is supplemented with the following: <br /> Relocate Existing Detection Loops and Access Control Gate at Canyon Park P&R <br /> Abandon existing 6'x12' detection loops and restore pavement at the locations shown in <br /> the Plans. Break loop lead-in splices and remove all associated wiring to termination <br /> point. Remove junction boxes, conduit bends and elbows, as directed. Sawcut <br /> pavement and install new 6'x12' loops as staked by the Engineer, per WSDOT Standard <br /> Plans, J-50.11-00 and J-50.15-00. Install new junction boxes, conduit and wiring as <br /> directed. Coordinate new wiring types and termination points with the existing wiring <br /> types and termination points. <br /> Relocate Existing Signal Loops on SR 96/132nd Street at Dumas Road <br /> Replace existing stopline detection loops per WSDOT Standard Plan J-50.12-00 (Type 3 <br /> Stopline loops). Existing advance loops to remain. Remove and replace shielded <br /> cables for advance loops, rerouting and relocating the junction boxes at Station as <br /> indicated. <br /> 8-20.3(14)C Existing Traffic Loops <br /> The Contractor shall notify the Area Traffic Engineer through the Engineer a minimum of <br /> five working days in advance of pavement removal or grinding in areas with existing <br /> loops. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP136 <br /> May 2017 <br />
