JOINTS AND JOINT SEALANTS <br /> 1. Joint Filler: Premolded, of sizes and thicknesses indicated, conforming to ASTM D994 or <br /> ASTM D1751. For structural joints and joints subject to movement, provide joint filler <br /> conforming to ASTM D1751. <br /> 2. Joint Sealing Compound: Concrete joint sealant, conforming to ASTM D1190, <br /> ASTM D1850, ASTM D2628 or ASTM D3405 for sealing of expansion (isolation) and <br /> contraction (control) joints in slabs and at junctions of slabs and vertical surfaces. Joint <br /> sealant shall be Sikaflex 1 by Sika Corporation (Lyndhurst, NJ) color: limestone or <br /> approved equal. <br /> 3. Sealant Backing Bond Breaker Rod: <br /> a. Non-staining material. <br /> b. Compatible and non-adhering to sealant when tested in accordance with <br /> ASTM C1087. <br /> c. Compatible with sealant, joint substrates, primers, and other sealant backing <br /> bond breakers. <br /> d. Sealant manufacturer approved. <br /> e. Sized and shaped to provide optimum performance and backing to sealant. <br /> f. Preformed, compressible, resilient, non-staining, non-outgassing, non- <br /> waxing, non-extruding, cylinder-shaped plastic foam rods compliant with <br /> ASTM D1056 and D1565. <br /> 4. Sealant Backing Bond Breaker Tape: <br /> a. Pressure sensitive polyethylene tape or tetrafluorethylene self-adhesive tape <br /> required by sealant manufacturer to suit application. <br /> b. Minimum Thickness of 11 mils. <br /> 5. Masking Tape: Non-staining, non-absorbent material compatible with sealants and <br /> surfaces adjacent to joints. <br /> 6. Tooling Liquids: Non-staining material approved by manufacturer to reduce adhesion of <br /> sealant to joint finishing tools. <br /> Detectable Warning Paver Strip for Station Platform <br /> Detectable Warning Paver Strip for Station platform shall be comprised of Cast-in-Place <br /> Composite 24-Inch by 60-linch Paver Tiles by ADA Solutions, Inc.
