4. Mock-up shall be performed by the individuals who will actually be performing the work <br /> on the project. <br /> 5. If Community Transit determines that the mockup does not meet requirements, the <br /> Contractor will demolish and remove it from the site and arrange to assemble additional <br /> mock-ups until approved. <br /> 6. Maintain mock-up during construction in an undisturbed condition as a standard for <br /> judging the completed work. <br /> 7. Remove mock-up when directed by Community Transit. <br /> INSTALLATION <br /> 1. Verify installation procedures and locations of graphics on station platforms for <br /> compliance with the project plans and consistency with existing Swift BRT stations <br /> previously erected. <br /> 2. Examine station platform for conditions affecting graphics application. Correct conditions <br /> detrimental to the timely and proper completion of the work. <br /> 3. Verify curing time and procedures for the concrete station platforms meet the <br /> requirements of the products specified for this work. <br /> 4. Remove loose particles, foreign matter by method which will not affect installation <br /> method. <br /> 5. Dry and prepare concrete surface in accordance with the requirements of the products <br /> specified for this work. <br /> 6. Provide protection as necessary to protect adjacent materials and surfaces from surface <br /> or physical damage. <br /> 7. Apply stencil of boarding area symbol (if applicable) to concrete platform surface. <br /> a. Symbol and symbol locations shall be per the project plans. <br /> b. Platform graphic images shall not be a trip hazard or violate ADA regulations. <br /> 8. Apply Bomanite Micro-Top XT base and top coats in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> specifications and installation procedures. <br /> a. Platform boarding area panel and symbol locations shall be per the project <br /> plans. <br /> b. Apply nonslip broom finish to Bomanite Micro-Top XT applied panels. <br /> Roughen surface by brooming with a fiber-bristle broom perpendicular to <br /> main traffic route. <br /> 9. Remove stencil at proper interval during curing in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> specifications to expose concrete surface at stencil and maintain clean edges in micro- <br /> top. <br /> 10. Seal micro-topped panels in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. <br /> 11. Repair or replace adjacent work which has been damaged by graphics installation <br /> operations. <br /> 12. Clean spillage, overspray, or drift from adjacent surfaces immediately. <br /> 13. Protect finished concrete surfaces and platform graphics from damage by construction <br /> equipment, operations and from adverse weather conditions. <br /> 8-30A Measurement <br /> "Reinforced Cement Concrete Station Platform, Complete" and "Reinforced Cement Concrete <br /> Station Platform at 16th Southbound/Eastbound, Complete"will be measured per each <br /> completed platform including tactile warning strip and station boarding area graphics. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP148 <br /> May 2017 <br />
