Station Site Furnishings Installation <br /> A. Verify installation procedures, and locations and orientation of site furnishings for <br /> compliance with the project plans and consistency with existing Swift BRT shelters <br /> previously erected. <br /> B. Damage/remove, as a theft deterrent, the top threads on the bolts/anchors attaching the <br /> litter bins, windscreens, benches, and railing to the platform. <br /> C. Clean site furnishings following installation. <br /> WINDSCREENS <br /> 1. Install Windscreens at the locations shown in the project plans. <br /> 2. Windscreens shall be installed level using owner furnished leveling spacer blocks and <br /> grout pads. For stations with grade variances greater than 1/8-inch along the <br /> windscreen use owner furnished leveling spacer blocks; routered plastic shims in varying <br /> thickness including 1/8-inch, '/4- inch, %-inch, and 1-inch for use in leveling the <br /> windscreens. For stations with grade variances less than 1/8-inch along the windscreen <br /> use of a leveling nut with a non-shrink grout pad is an acceptable method for leveling the <br /> windscreens. The Contractor is responsible for determining actual shim height <br /> requirements on-site in order to achieve a level windscreen. <br /> BENCHES <br /> 1. Install Benches at the locations shown in the project plans. <br /> 2. Benches shall be installed level using a leveling nut with a non-shrink grout pad. <br /> LITTER BINS <br /> 1. Install Litter Bins at the locations shown in the project plans or as directed by the Owner. <br /> Station Railing Installation <br /> A. Install owner furnished barrier railing and boundary railing in accordance with these <br /> specifications and manufacturer's instructions. <br /> B. Coordinate setting drawings, diagrams, templates, instructions, and directions for <br /> installation of anchorages, embedded sleeves, concrete inserts, and anchor bolts. <br /> C. Clean sleeves of debris. <br /> D. Install in accordance with approved directions. <br /> E. Fit exposed connections accurately to form tight, hairline joints. Make joints as strong <br /> and rigid as adjoining construction. <br /> F. Set posts plumb and align to within 1/4 inch in 12 feet. Set rails horizontal or parallel to <br /> rake of steps or ramp to within 1/4 inch in 12 feet. <br /> Passenger Fare Collection Equipment Installation <br /> A. Install fare collection equipment in accordance with these specifications and <br /> manufacturer's instructions. <br /> B. Verify equipment locations for consistency with the project plans and specifications and <br /> with existing Swift BRT shelters previously erected. <br /> C. Clean concrete platform and structure surface at mounting locations prior to installation. <br /> D.
