Verify that branch circuit wiring installation is completed, tested, and ready for <br /> connection to wiring devices. <br /> PREPARATION <br /> A. Provide extension rings to bring outlet boxes flush with finished surface. <br /> B. Clean debris from outlet boxes. <br /> C. The drawings are diagrammatic and indicate generally the locations of materials and <br /> equipment. These drawings shall be followed as closely as possible. <br /> 1. Coordinate the work under this section with the architectural, structure, plumbing, <br /> heating and air conditioning, and the drawings of other trades for exact dimensions, <br /> clearances, and roughing-in locations. <br /> 2. Cooperate with other trades in order to make minor field adjustments to <br /> accommodate the work of others. <br /> 3. Devices, outlets, can be field located by Owner's representative within 20' of the <br /> designed locations prior to rough-in work without extra compensation. <br /> INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install securely, in a neat and workmanlike manner, as specified in NECA 1. <br /> B. Install devices plumb and level. <br /> C. Install receptacles with grounding pole on bottom. <br /> D. Connect wiring device grounding terminal to outlet box with bonding jumper. <br /> E. Install decorative plates on switch, receptacle, and blank outlets in finished areas. <br /> F. Connect wiring devices by wrapping conductor around screw terminal. <br /> G. Install two or more wiring devices shown in one location under a common plate. Install <br /> plates with edges in continuous contact with finished wall surfaces. Do not install more <br /> than one device in single gang position. <br /> H. Before installation rough in, devices locations may be revised by the Owner's <br /> representative within 20' of the designed contract location, at no cost. <br /> I. Install galvanized steel plates on outlet boxes and junction boxes in unfinished areas, <br /> above accessible ceilings, and on surface mounted outlets. <br /> INTERFACE WITH OTHER PRODUCTS <br /> A. Coordinate locations of outlet boxes to obtain mounting heights specified. <br /> FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Perform field inspection, testing, and adjusting <br /> B. Inspect each wiring device for defects. <br /> C. Verify that each receptacle device is energized. <br /> D.
