Ted de Budden
From: Donald Cunningham
Sent: Thursday, May 04, 2017 10:42 AM
To: Katie Rathbun
Cc: Ted de Budden; Tony Lee; Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: 2812 Everett Ave
Attorney-Client Privileged Communication
All-5/2/17—Ted,Steve Banks and I inspected Mr. Williams property at 2812 Everett Ave after receiving a complaint of
dilapidated conditions, lack of working heaters resulting in use of space heaters by occupants, and lack of required stair
rails.Apparently 8 persons are living in the structure. Williams purchased the property in November 1996.The second
building described in some of the old records appear to have been a second residential structure near the alley(address
2810 Evt)that burned down in 1974.
The City Building Dept, Fire Marshall, and Code Enforcement met Williams at the property in 2010—comments in CRW
for that event below. As I was scheduling this inspection due to the recent complain—Williams brought this 2010
inspection up.
Bottom line—our recent inspection shows the structure is similar to a duplex but there are 5 bedrooms on the 2"d level
and no living room—the living room lacking in that dwelling unit. IF we require him to restore a living room on the 2nd
level—I just want to make sure we all agree we can stick with that requirement.
Thanks!
Don
(5/26/2010 3:12 PM KLF)
Brad, Tony and I(Fagerstrom)met with owner for a site tour. The hasps have been removed and new fire extignuishers
are there and he will ad several more smoke alarms. Close.
Donald Cunningham
Code Enforcement Officer
Everett Police Department
Desk 425 257-8564
dcunninghamc everettwa.gov
1
