We've updated the plans so that the revisions meet your intent and satisfy your concerns. I have provided a written response to each of your comments to where the changes or modifications have been made. All changes occurring within the set have been clouded and delta for easy correlation. Comments 1. The existing building is Type III 1-Hr (A) construction. Type II is not possible due to the wood GLB columns (and the roof is not completely heavy timber). It is possible that the building could comply as Type III-B construction — calculations would need to be supplied. If the building stays as Type III-A, fire-resistive details for the roof/ceilings, walls and columns should be provided (or heavy timber design). Section 602.3 Response: Revised sheet(s): Delta 1 G001 Revised to show type III-B construction. 2. The plans should show that special inspection will be provided for the storage racks that are 8 feet or greater in height. Along with the deferred submissions for the sprinkler and fire alarm systems shown on the cover sheet, an additional, separate permit submission is required for the storage racks.
