I <br /> I Phil Johnson Ballfields 26 55.68 <br /> City of Everett Parks&Community Services ATHLETIC FIELD-LIGHITING <br /> III <br /> 2.07 CONDUCTORS <br /> I A. All wire and cable shall conform to the NEC and meet applicable ICEA specifications. <br /> Conductors shall be copper,No. 12 AWG or larger and all conductors No. 10 or larger <br /> shall be stranded. Insulation shall be Type THHN/THWN,600 Volt minimum rated 75° <br /> I C. and be color coded in a consistent manner. Each conductor shall be identified by <br /> Circuit and Phase Number at every handhole and junction box by a PVC wiring marking <br /> sleeve. <br /> I B. Splices below grade shall be made with compression type connectors, be plastic tie- <br /> wrapped and made watertight with an epoxy splice kit,heat shrinkable medium wall <br /> flexible Polyolefin tubing or similar products, approved for underground installations. <br /> IC. Splices above grade shall be made with screw type connectors and be plastic tie-wrapped <br /> III <br /> PARTS -EXECUTION <br /> 1 3.01 GENERAL <br /> A. Installation Conditions:Materials shall not be placed when ambient air temperature is <br /> I below 40 degrees F,materials temperatures are below 50 degrees F,surfaces are wet or <br /> damp,precipitation is falling or pending,wind conditions are unsuitable for spray <br /> coating, and if any other conditions exist or are pending which make it unsuitable for <br /> surfacing system installation. <br /> IB. Order of Construction: Contractor shall complete all excavation and trenching associated <br /> with the conduit,and footings in coordination with the field storm drainage and other site <br /> Iutilities work installation, so as to be efficient and provide a clean safe jobsite <br /> 3.02 TRENCHING&EXCAVATION <br /> I A. The contractor shall provide trenching to a depth to allow for a 24"minimum bury depth <br /> to top of the conduit. Conduit shall be bedded in sand <br /> I B. Contractor shall provide locator tape in the trenches on top of all electrical conduit <br /> approx. 12"above the top of pipe. <br /> C. Contractor shall restore all trenching with topsoil and seed as per the associated <br /> I <br /> specifications <br /> D. Protection use all measures necessary to protect adjacent work from contamination by <br /> Itrenching and excavation of footings <br /> 3.03 ATHLETIC FIELD LIGHTING INSTALLATION <br /> IA.
