I <br /> I Phil Johnson Ballfields 33.46.16,19 <br /> City of Everett Parks&Community Services ATHLETIC FIELD DRAINAGE <br /> Itolerances: <br /> 1. Bedding shall be fine graded and prepared such that the pipe can be initially <br /> I placed with a variation from true line or grade,measured at each joint, of not <br /> more than 1/32"per inch diameter or'/2 maximum,provided that: <br /> Ia) A resulting level or back sloping length of pipe does not occur. <br /> b) No more than one-half of the permissible variation shall be <br /> accumulated between successive joints. <br /> I2. Pipe laid within these tolerances shall not be subjected to any further adjustment. <br /> Measurement for grade shall be taken at the pipe invert,NOT TOP OF PIPE. <br /> I Eccentricity of pipe barrels,with respect to jointing surfaces, shall not produce <br /> grade interruption adverse to flow or more than 1/4" maximum. <br /> 3. Catch basin elevations are critical. All grading shall taper smoothly with the <br /> 1 existing adjoining grades to the approval of the Landscape Architect. <br /> 3.03 INSTALLATION <br /> IA. All materials and installation shall conform to the 2016 Standard Specifications for road, <br /> Bridge and Municipal Construction(WSDOT and APWA),except where indicated. <br /> 1 B. Inspection and Testing <br /> 1. The Contractor,prior to commencement of construction, shall coordinate a <br /> I meeting with the Landscape Architect to set up a schedule for inspection. At this <br /> meeting,requirements will be established by the Landscape Architect for his,the <br /> County and the Owner's requirements for inspection. Landscape Architect to <br /> I inspect all piping prior to coverage to inspect slope fall with laser set up by <br /> Contractor. <br /> C. Installation of Field Under Drainage Drains <br /> I1. New drainage trenches shall be excavated to the lines and grades indicated on the <br /> Drawings, exercising care to maintain clean edges and sides in the trench. The <br /> I bottom of the trench shall be recompacted to at least 90 percent of maximum <br /> density to provide a firm and solid base. <br /> 2. All joints,caps and connections to tight lines shall be made in accordance with <br /> Imanufacturer's recommendations, in such manner as to prevent bedding material <br /> from entering the pipe. <br /> I 3. Native material removed from trench excavation shall be removed in its entirety <br /> from the field area so as to maintain required positive drainage patterns across <br /> the subgrade to the drain trenches.
