STORHOUSE RENTALS
P.O. Box 159
Everett,Washington 98206
425-252-4928
May 7,2018
Mr. Leroy McNulty
2930 Wetmore Avenue
Everett,Washington 98201
Dear Mr. McNulty:
RE: Your letter of April 2,2018 re:The Storehouse Mini Storage at 3816 Smith Ave.
There are a number of items that are very alarming in your letter:
1. First of all,my philosophy for running my business has been from the very beginning,
nearly 39 years ago,to treat good tenants like family and to get rid of bad ones as
quickly as legally possible.
2. As far as Tony Patricelli's comments that he found many people living in the units to be
greatly exaggerated. The 5x10 unit that the victim was in and the one next door had
been rented for approximately two weeks and the tenants had been reprimanded and
given written copies of published rules for use of the mini storage. This is the final step
before formally terminating tenant's use. Both were terminated the next day and
shortly thereafter. To say that there were many people was a great exaggeration.
3. Regarding your Fire Inspectors Armstrong and Alford. I watched them the whole time
they were checking the units. At that time there were only two tenants on site(i.e. B-33
an C-Hj. All other units were locked and secured. So,there was no way for them to
make any kind of observation of any other activities, other than these two rooms. Thus,
residential use and a number of illicit activities is a gross exaggeration.
4. As far as the tenant who died in the fire,he was a meth addict and had jammed his unit
with his father's furniture when he sold his house. The other fire in Unit C-I occurred in
a room that had been used as band practice space, but at the time of the fire was used
for furniture storage and had absolutely nothing to do with any band. As far as a space
heater being the likely cause of the fire that is an unknown. I was at the fire and
inspected the contents while and after the fire was extinguished. I saw no space heater
and the room was not being used by any band or musician. It was simply a storage unit.
