I
I1 1-05.5 Tolerances
2 Geometrical tolerances shall be measured from the points, lines, and surfaces defined in
3 Contract documents.
P
4
5 A plus (+) tolerance increases the amount or dimension to which it applies, or raises a
6 deviation from level. A minus (-) tolerance decreases the amount or dimension to which it
I7 applies, or lowers a deviation from level. Where only one signed tolerance is specified (+ or
8 -), there is no specified tolerance in the opposing direction.
9
I10 Tolerances shall not be cumulative. The most restrictive tolerance shall control.
11
12 Tolerances shall not extend the Work beyond the Right of Way or other legal boundaries
I13 identified in the Contract documents. If application of tolerances causes the extension of
14 the Work beyond the Right of Way or legal boundaries, the tolerance shall be reduced for
15 that specific instance.
▪ 16
▪ 17 Tolerances shall not violate other Contract requirements. If application of tolerances causes
18 the Work to violate other Contract requirements, the tolerance shall be reduced for that
I19 specific instance. If application of tolerances causes conflicts with other components or
20 aspects of the Work, the tolerance shall be reduced for that specific instance.
21
I22 1-05.9 Equipment
23 The following new paragraph is inserted before the first paragraph:
24
25 Prior to mobilizing equipment on site, the Contractor shall thoroughly remove all loose dirt
I26 and vegetative debris from drive mechanisms, wheels, tires, tracks, buckets and
27 undercarriage. The Engineer will reject equipment from the site until it returns clean.
28
I29 This section is supplemented with the following:
30
31 Upon completion of the Work, the Contractor shall completely remove all loose dirt and
32 vegetative debris from equipment before removing it from the job site.
▪ 33
34 Section 1-06, Control of Material
I35 January 7, 2019
36 1-06.1(3) Aggregate Source Approval (ASA) Database
37 This section is supplemented with the following:
38
▪ 39 Regardless of status of the source, whether listed or not listed in the ASA database the
40 source owner may be asked to provide testing results for toxicity in accordance with
41 Section 9-03.21(1).
42
43 1-06.2(2)D Quality Level Analysis
I44 This section is supplemented with the following new subsection:
45
46 1-06.2(2)D5 Quality Level Calculation — HMA Compaction
47 The procedures for determining the quality level and pay factor for HMA compaction are as
I48 follows:
49
50
City of Everett Page AM-3 Amendments
Everett Downtown Streetscape Improvement March 22, 2019
