When the temporary BMP materials are made of <br /> 2 natural plant fibers unaltered by synthetic materials the Engineer may allow leaving the <br /> 3 BMP in place. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Contractor shall remove BMPs and associated hardware in a way that minimizes soil <br /> 6 disturbance. The Contractor shall permanently stabilize all bare and disturbed soil after <br /> 7 removal of BMPs. If the installation and use of the erosion control BMPs have compacted <br /> 8 or otherwise rendered the soil inhospitable to plant growth, such as construction entrances, <br /> 9 the Contractor shall take measures to rehabilitate the soil to facilitate plant growth. This <br /> 10 may include, but is not limited to, ripping the soil, incorporating soil amendments, or <br /> 11 seeding with the specified seed. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 At the request of the Contractor and at the sole discretion of the Engineer the CSWGP may I <br /> 14 be transferred back to the Contracting Agency. Approval of the Transfer of Coverage <br /> 15 request will require the following: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 1. All other Work required for Contract Completion has been completed. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 2. All Work required for compliance with the CSWGP has been completed to the <br /> 111 <br /> 20 maximum extent possible. This includes removal of BMPs that are no longer <br /> 21 needed and the site has undergone all Stabilization identified for meeting the <br /> 22 requirements of Final Stabilization in the CSWGP. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 3. An Equitable Adjustment change order for the cost of Work that has not been <br /> 25 completed by the Contractor. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 4. Submittal of the Washington State Department of Ecology Transfer of Coverage <br /> 28 form (Ecology form ECY 020-87a) to the Engineer. <br /> 29111 30 If the Engineer approves the transfer of coverage back to the Contracting Agency, the <br /> 31 requirement in Section 1-07.5(3) for the Contractor's submittal of the Notice of Termination <br /> 32 form to the Washington State Department of Ecology will not apply. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 8-01.4 Measurement <br /> 35 This section's content is deleted and replaced with the following new subsections: <br /> 36 <br /> 37 8-01.4(1) Lump Sum Bid for Project (No Unit Items) <br /> 38 When the Bid Proposal contains the item "Erosion Control and Water Pollution Prevention" <br /> 39 there will be no measurement of unit or force account items for Work defined in Section 8- <br /> 40 01 except as described in Sections 8-01.4(3) and 8-01.4(4).
