City of Everett 01 2213 - 2
2019 Biosolids Removal UT3705-2
a. For the purposes of this Contract the Contractor shall be paid the unit price
bid for Dry Tons per the amount (by weight) of solids material that is
weighed and transported to the designated location on the City's Biosolids
Pad. For this contract, the measurement of a Dry Ton includes the weight
of only the solid material contained in each ton of material that crosses the
City owned scale —the weight of the water will not be included.
b. Contractor shall weigh biosolids by the truckload, using the certified scale
provided by Owner.
c. The calculation of a Dry Ton for payment shall be as per the following
equation:
(Tons of material loaded into a truck) x (Percent TS)
100 = Dry Tons
Example 1 (Material at 28% TS):
2 tons of material loaded into a truck x (28%)
100 = 0.56 tons of Dry Ton
material for payment.
Example 2 (Material at 32% TS): I
10 tons of material loaded into a truck x (31%)
100 = 3.1 tons of Dry Ton
material for payment.
d. Payment ,
1) All labor, equipment, materials and necessary appurtenances
required to dredge the biosolids from the pond and necessary to
dewater these biosolids to a solids content of equal to or greater than
28% TS shall be incidental to the payment for each Dry Ton.
2) Payment for labor, equipment, and materials necessary for loading, ,
weighing, transporting and depositing the material in the designated
area on the City's Biosolids Pad shall also be incidental to the
payment for each Dry Ton.
3) Once a load of material is determined to meet the 28% requirement, ,
per the testing of the samples provided to the City, the City will pay
for the amount of Dry Ton material in that load based on the formula
shown above C.2.c. See also Section 01 4523 for sampling
requirements.
1
PART 2 - PRODUCTS (Not Used)
1
01 2213 - 2 UNIT PRICE MEASUREMENT
