The applicant must comply with all conditions listed on the Notice of Complete Application and
Planned Action Determination dated August 7, 2009.
The following replaces all items listed under "Other Requirements" in the Notice of Complete
Application and Planned Action Determination.
1. A Public Works Permit is required for this project for the grading and construction of the
parking area. Detailed drawings in accordance with City Design and Construction
Standards shall be submitted to the Public Works Department, showing site parking
layout, landscaping, utilities, storm drainage, temporary construction erosion control, and
all required improvements in the public right-of-way. Public Works Department approval
of these drawings is required prior to any permits being issued. All improvements shall
be completed, approved and warranted before the Occupancy Permit is issued.
2. A Demolition Permit and sewer cap off permit will be required for this work.
3. There is a 16" cast Iron water main that runs close to the building to be demolished.
Special care must be taken when using heavy equipment in this area.
4. A building permit is for the construction of the tents and relocation/removal of existing
structures.
5. Adequate provision must be made for snow removal from the roof and ventilation within
the tent.
6. Adherence to building separation standards per building code and master plan approval
will be required.
7. If the demolition of the existing tour center results in paving of 5,000 square feet or
greater, additional drainage analysis must be provided prior to issuance of the demolition
permit. Boeing should coordinate with the City's Engineering Services Division
regarding the additional analysis needed. Alternatively, if the amount of additional
paving is less than 5,000 square feet and the residual area is covered with landscaping,
sod, or hydroseed, additional drainage analysis will not be needed.
8. This proposal will result in paving and striping of an additional 53 parking stalls. Under
the 1991 Boeing Master Plan approval,Boeing was permitted to provide a maximum of
20,000 employee parking stalls(assuming less than 33,000 employees on-site). With the
addition of the 53 stalls, total parking on the site will be 19,836 stalls.
9. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and
reasonable means of controlling air pollution, including dust. Dust generated during
construction activities can be controlled by wetting those dust sources such as areas of
exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and
maintaining gravel construction entrances. Construction vehicle track-out is also a major
dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger violations and fines from the
Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency.
