• <br /> . <br /> themselves as engaged in carrying on the business of plumbing or to use the <br /> words "Master Plumber, " "Plumbing, " or "Plumber, " in any advertising <br /> or to display or expose a sign having similar import for the purpose of implying the <br /> advertiser to be so engaged. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm, partnership or <br /> corporation engaged in the business of plumbing to operate a truck, fleet of trucks <br /> or vehicle used for the purpose of conveying plumbing equipment, supplie s or <br /> material to and from plumbing job sites unless such truck, fleet of trucks or <br /> vehicle so used has plainly displayed thereon the name of the person, firm, <br /> partnership or corporation operating such truck or vehicle. <br /> Section 9: That there is hereby added to Part 2 of the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code herein adopted a Sec. 2. 15 which shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 2. 15 - Catch Basins - Required - Specifications <br /> All garages, service stations or establishments, where vehicles are washed, <br /> shall have a sump connected to a drainage system of iron pipe, leading to a <br /> trapped catch basin, and from such catch basin proper connections shall be made <br /> to a public sewer. Openings from sumps to drains shall be protected by iron <br /> strainers set in iron frames so as to be removable. Drainage pipe shall be not <br /> less than four (4) inches in diameter. Catch basins must be constructed of <br /> masonry and shall have two compartments: the receiving compartment shall <br /> be at least three (3) feet in any internal dimension, and shall have a cover of <br /> iron or wood bars set flush with the floor of the building. This compartment shall <br /> be connected with Compartment No. 2 by a four inch trap set sixteen (16) inches <br /> below the floor of the building. The intake of this trap shall extend at least <br /> two (2) feet below the top of Compartment No. 1. Compartment No. 2 shall be of <br /> of the same depth as Compartment No. 1 and shall be at least two feet in any other <br /> internal dimension. Compartment No. 2 shall be connected to the sewer system of <br /> the building with a four inch cast iron pipe. The outlet from Compartment No. 2 <br /> being set the same as in Compartment No. 1. The drain pipe from Compartment <br /> No. 2 shall be provided with vent pipe set as near as possible to seal. Compartment <br /> No. 2 shall have a close fitting iron cover. The masonry walls and floor of this <br /> catch basin shall be not less than six (6) inches thick, excepting that where the <br /> catch basin rests on hard pan a four (4) inch floor may be used. The division <br /> wall between Compartment No. 1 and No. 2 shall be not less than four (4) <br /> inches thick. Proper precaution shall be taken to make the catch basin water <br /> tight. " <br /> Section 10: That Chapter 1, Section 117, paragraph (e) of the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code herein adopted, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Plumbing System: The plumbing system means and includes all <br /> potable water supply and distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, <br /> all drainage and vent pipe and all building drains, including their respective <br /> joints and connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the <br /> property lines of the premises and shall include potable water piping, potable <br /> water treating or using equipment, fuel gas piping, water heaters and vents for <br /> Page 5 <br />
