Section 5: Definitions. <br /> Wherever the word "municipality" is used in the Fire Prevention Code <br /> it shall be held to mean the City of Everett. <br /> Section 6: Establishment of Limits of Districts in Which Storage of <br /> Flammable Liquids in Outside Aboveground Tanks is to be Prohibited. <br /> (a) The limits referred to in Section 16. 22a, of the Fire Prevention <br /> Code in which storage of flammable liquids in outside aboveground tanks <br /> is prohibited, are hereby established as follows: <br /> Fire Zone #1 and #2 as defined by Ordinance No. 49-52, <br /> E. C. C. 2. 32. 020 and 2. 32. 030 and said Section 16. 22a is <br /> amended as herein set forth. <br /> (b) The limits referred to in Section 16. 61 of the Fire Prevention Code <br /> in which new bulk plants for flammable liquids are prohibited, are <br /> hereby established as follows: <br /> Fire Zone #1 and #2 as defined by Ordinance No. 4052, <br /> E. C. C. 2. 32. 020 and 2. 32. 030 and said Section 16. 61 is <br /> amended as herein set forth. <br /> Section 7: Establishment of Limits in Which Bulk Storage of Li quefied <br /> Petroleum Gases is to be Restricted. <br /> (a) The limits referred to in Section 21. 6 of the Fire Prevention <br /> Code, in which bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, <br /> ttr¢hereby established as follows: <br /> Fire Zones #1 and #2 as defined by Ordinance No. 4052, E. C. C. <br /> 2. 32. 020 and 2. 32. 030 and said Section 21. 6 is amended <br /> as herein set forth. <br /> Section 8: Modifications. <br /> The Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall have power to modify <br /> any of the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code upon application in writing <br /> by the owner or lessee, or his duly authorized agent when there are practical <br /> difficulties in the way of carrying out the strict letter of the code, provided that <br /> the spirit of the code shall be observed, public safety secured and substantial <br /> justice done. The particulars of such modifications when granted or allowed and <br /> the decision of the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention thereon shall be entered <br /> upon the records of the department and a signed copy shall be furnished the <br /> applicant. <br /> Section 9: Appeals. <br /> Whenever the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall disapprove an <br /> application or refuses to grant a permit applied for or shall revoke a permit, <br /> or when the true intent and meaning of the Code have been misconstrued or <br /> wrongfully interpreted, the applicant may appeal from the decision of the <br /> Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention to the Fire Prevention Review Board, <br /> provided said appeal is made within five days after the execution of a written <br /> decision by the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. Otherwise the decision <br /> shall be final. The decision of the Fire Prevention Review Board on all appeal <br /> matters shall be final. <br /> Page 6 <br />
