Z <br /> Section 12(b): REINSPECTION - WHEN REQUIRED <br /> Whenever an application is made to the City Inspector for reinspection <br /> of any work heretofore done, prior to the passage of this chapter; or when any <br /> application or petition is filed or made to make extensions, alterations or <br /> repairs, amounting to sixty percent (60%) of the wiring or other electrical <br /> work already done and completed in said building, then and in that event, the <br /> entire work shall be subject to reinspection by said City Inspector and when <br /> any sufficient number of extensions are made upon any work completed after <br /> the passage of this chapter, which in the aggregate shall equal sixty percent <br /> (60%) additional 'wiring or electrical work done, then, and in that event, such <br /> building shall be subject to reinspection. <br /> Section 13: STRUCTURES TO BE INSPECTED PERIODICALLY. <br /> Any person owning or in the possession of any building or other structure, <br /> within the City of Everett, shall permit the inspector to enter and inspect <br /> said building and premises once in every three months, or oftener if deemed <br /> necessary by the City Electrical Inspector, for the purpose of ascertaining <br /> whether the electrical equipment, in or about said building or other structure, <br /> or premises, is in conformity with the provisions of this chapter; and it shall <br /> be unlawful for any owner or occupant of premises where electrical equipment <br /> is used, or to be used, or for any person whomsoever, to prevent or interfere <br /> with the inspector in the discharge of his duties under this chapter; providing, <br /> however, that an assistant inspector shall, upon request of the owner or occupant <br /> of said premises, exhibit his authority to make such inspection, which shall be <br /> signed by the City Electrical Inspector. <br /> Section 14: RECORDS OF INSPECTION-CITY ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR <br /> TO KEEP <br /> Said City Electrical Inspector shall keep in his office a register in which <br /> he shall record the number of each building by proper description in 'which an <br /> inspection of electrical wiring, appliance, or apparatus has been made by him, <br /> with the name of the owner or owners of such building, and shall keep a record <br /> of the number and description for proper indexing of all such certificates issued <br /> by said City Electrical Inspector, giving the day when the same was inspected and <br /> the person or persons for whom such inspection was made. <br /> Section 15: LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE OR INJURY <br /> This chapter shall not be construed to relieve or lessen the responsibility <br /> of any person owning, operating or installing any electrical equipment, for <br /> damage to anyone injured by any defect thereof, nor shall the City or any <br /> agent thereof, be held as assuming any such liability by reason of the inspection <br /> authorized herein, or the certificate of inspection issued by the City Electrical <br /> Inspector. <br /> Page 12 <br />
