• <br /> • <br /> D. The Board shall fiss the time and place of meetings, and all <br /> Board meetings shall be open to the public. Notice of all hearings <br /> before the Board shall be given by publication at least seven days <br /> prior to she date set for the Hearin;. The Board shall adopt its <br /> own rules of procedure and keep a record of its proceedings, <br /> findings and action in each case. The presence of two members <br /> shall be necessary to constitute a quorum. <br /> E, Applications for hearing` before the Board under this ordin- <br /> ance shall be made to the City Clerk who shall be the Secretary of <br /> the Board and who shall receive applications for hearings. The <br /> City Clerk shall notify the Board of receipt of an application for <br /> special exception or hearing and within a reasonable time after <br /> receipt of the application the Board shall fix a time for hearing. <br /> Section 14. Sprinkler Standards. <br /> A. Sprinkler systems installed in accordance with this ordinance <br /> shall comply with the following standards: <br /> I. Only lead-coated sprinkle' heads to be used under piers. <br /> II. Only pendant-type sprinkler heads to be used under piers, <br /> installed in the upright position. <br /> III. Sprinkler heads shall be installed from 5 to 8 inches <br /> below the bottom of joist under piers. <br /> IV. Spacing between sprinkler heads shall be approximately <br /> 8 feet and heads on alternate lines must be staggered. <br /> V. Sprinkler heads designed to operate at 135 degrees F. <br /> shall be used under piers. <br /> B. All existing sprinkler systems, installed in or on structures <br /> covered by this ordinance, that have been installed according to <br /> NFPA standards No. 13 shall be accepted as complying with this <br /> ordinance. <br /> • <br /> Section 15. Separability, <br /> If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of <br /> this ordinance is for any-reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any <br /> court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, <br /> distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not effect the <br /> validity of the remaining portions hereof. <br /> Ordinance -14- <br />
