Assumptions/Exclusions <br /> • Swift Company LLC shall be provided with all information, surveys, reports, and professional <br /> recommendations, and any other related items requested in order to provide its professional <br /> services. Swift Company LLC may rely on the accuracy and completeness of these items, <br /> and will inform the Client of any discrepancies or deficiencies found in the data. <br /> • Project duration shall be from August 2014 through August 2015 for design and <br /> documentation to be followed by 12 months of construction. <br /> • Swift Company LLC shall not furnish the services of any utility consultants or contracts. <br /> • Swift Company LLC shall be advised of any known or suspected contaminants at the Project <br /> site. The City shall be solely responsible for all subsurface soil conditions. <br /> • The City and Port shall provide appropriate required standards for project work at the <br /> beginning of the project. <br /> • Swift Company LLC will provide documentation within the firm's scope of work for purposes <br /> of obtaining permits from authorities with jurisdiction over the project. <br /> • The City agrees to provide the items described above, and to render decisions in a manner <br /> so as not to delay the orderly and sequential progress of the design team's services. <br /> • The coordination of public art work is not included in the Landscape Architecture and Urban <br /> Design scope. <br /> • Swift will use standard Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CEPTED) criteria <br /> for design covered by scope of work. <br /> 9.1 — Project Management <br /> Swift Company LLC shall prepare and submit invoices, progress reports and schedule updates <br /> to KPFF on a monthly basis. It is understood that general coordination with other design team <br /> members will be required. This coordination includes, but is not limited to, status updates, <br /> design team meetings, and general correspondence. <br /> Swift Company LLC shall prepare for and participate in the following meetings: <br /> • Monthly team coordination meetings (18) <br /> 9.2 — 30 Percent PSE <br /> Swift Company LLC shall meet with the design team to discuss and update the Project's design <br /> program, regulatory requirements, construction cost estimate and schedule for scope of work. <br /> This task ultimately results in the preparation of the 30% design drawings and narrative which <br /> illustrate the scale and relationship of the Project components including: <br /> • Hardscape and landscape areas <br /> • Major landscape features <br /> • Circulation elements including paths, sidewalks and plazas <br /> • Site grading concept for scope area. <br /> Deliverables (Electronic copy to KPFF) <br /> • 30 Percent PSE Submittal <br /> o Plans per the Project Sheet List <br /> o Draft Basis of Design, Specifications, and cost estimate per the Project Submittal List <br /> KPFF Consulting Engineer November 10, 2014 <br /> Grand Avenue Park Utility Bridge, Phase 1A Page 28 of 55 <br />
